Florida Rep. Maxwell Alejandro Frost spoke Thursday on the final night of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, an evening focused on the future as Kamala Harris formally accepts her party’s nomination for president.
“Fighting the climate crisis is patriotic,” said Frost, the first member of Generation Z to win a seat in Congress. “And unlike Donald Trump, Our patriotism is more than some damn slogan on a hat. It's about actually giving a damn about the people who live in this country.”
Harris’ speech is her first official chance to offer her vision for the country to voters. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz formally accepted the vice presidential nomination the day before.
