alex feliciano you probably know by now but just in case to guard knuckles you either use the wrap itself (wrap around fingers to make a pad or wrap the knuckles 3-5 times around the palm. Or you can use gauze, a foam pad... anything that is not hard and does not fill the palm (fist packing) also for beginners you should never train in handwraps, always put gloves over. Wraps are not for "protection" they are to SUPPORT the bone structure of the hand. The gloves are what give protection. The human hand is a devastating weapon with proper form and followthrough... with the proper follow through a 140 pound man can drop a good size man with a 16 oz glove on (pillows)
