I was there, right down the first base line in the upper deck relatively near the right field foul ball. This video honestly doesn’t do the crowd noise justice. When that ball hit the foul pole, Progressive Field absolutely exploded in a way I’ve never heard before or since.

How did we still manage to lose this series? All the momentum including from the regular season. Probably had the best 40 game stretch in history just for all of that to come to a screeching halt.

We need to keep Lindor. Don't care how much he wants, pay the guy. He's worth every penny. He teaches and is a roll model for our younger players. And he's a great player obviously.

@George508097 жыл бұрын
Agree, however I think the call would have been upheld as in this video I can see the ball glance off Chisenhall's wrist just before hitting the knob of the bat.
@WaffleLover-my1hi3 жыл бұрын
anyone else here after his 3 home run performance now with the mets? His game winning home run was against chad green (again) Also so many weird managerial decisions by Joe Giradi in this inning, no wonder he got fired. Warming up chapman inexplicably? Not challenging the HBP when the 6th inning is your last inning to challenge until all challenges are done by the umpire crew? Bizarre.
@methus573 жыл бұрын
such a shame how Tito mismanaged the starting rotation in this series. He took a team strength & made it a team weakness. He started Bauer on short rest, and should have started him in game 5, not 4. Clevenger shoulda pitched game 4. Kluber had a back injury and pitched games 2 and 5 and was awful in both.

I looked at it again. The ball glanced off the meat of Chisenhall's lower hand then hit the knob of the bat. If you watch carefully, you can see it. So even if there were a review, and Girardi should have demanded one, probably the call would have been upheld.

Wrong. Still had a 1-run lead after the Grand Slam, couldn`t hold it. Then had a runner picked off second base with no outs in extra innings and all the Yankee batters were stymied by the stellar Tribe pitchers after the 6th inning.
@josephnyy867 жыл бұрын
Michael Garapic a 8-3 ball game is very different from a 8-7 ball game. They would've used different pitchers. everyone's mindset would be different.
@michaelgarapic62767 жыл бұрын
Uh.........wrong again. Girardi went with his most trusted relievers in Green & Robertson before turning the game over to Chapman in the ninth. Get over the fact that the Indians were more determined and resilient to win this game despite losing Encarnarcion early and their pitching ace Corey Kluber gets knocked around but hey, it`s your story so tell it as you see fit. Go Tribe!!!!!!
@josephnyy867 жыл бұрын
Michael Garapic no bro. Had Girardi challenged that call and have it overturned. It would've been a strike 3 foul tip call ending the inning. the grand slam wouldn't have happened. Robertson would likely not have been used in the 7th, maybe even not used at all. even if Robertson still gave up a HR, it would've been 8-4. I'm not denying that the Indians are a better team, because they really are. I never saw the Yankees winning this series. but i do believe they had a big chance to win this game. Girardi's dumbass decision to not challenge was what led to the Indians comeback victory. but even if they did win this game, I still believe the Indians would eventually win the series. Good luck to your team in the ALCS. I predicted them to win the world series against the Nationals. we'll see how that goes.

you could see girardi's arrogance talking to his coach "I am not going to ask for a review" and sanchez pointed right off the bat for a review...clear easy reversal....he stinks as a manager he is a walking computer boy with no attachment emotionaly to his players..WS win in 09 was with torre's team...he manages to lose all playoffs with a great team...DUMP HIM
