As far as democracy is concerned I remember during the days of Congress, be it General Elections, State Assembly Elections, Panchayat Elections we saw the night before Elections they used to distribute Alcohol, money, blanket and got people voting for criminals, corrupt candidates over good, quality candidate who wanted to do something. Saw people way above BPL getting IAY homes, ration cards while many poor people in non Congress area didn't get anything. We felt so helpless. That was the kind of democracy that used to exists. I have seen BJP people going to the homes before Elections but they promise government schemes and people who deserves actually gets those.
