An interesting and professionally held interview from WION. Also appreciate PM K.P. Sharma Oli's kindness to respond to the questions in a statesman-like manner. Off course, there are bound to be differences on both the sides about some of the matters of business, but I get a sense that the foundations of the two nations' relations are quite strong to see them getting settled in a mutually agreeable manner in due course of time. From my understanding, the communist party, be it of any country, is essentially expansionist, cartographical aggression of China and recently of Nepal is one good example and hates the religion of majority and believe in crushing their opposition to death. That is the nature of communists, that's what Mao did in China, killing millions and Stalin in Russia, and in Nepal there is the rule of Communist party. As long as there's a communist government in Nepal, and a nationalist government in India we cannot expect any peace. But be very clear, communists never stop claiming, they are expansionists, and this dispute won't be the last.

If we had indigenous people representing us or a little more diversity in politics maybe it would've been a different story. Everyone is a Brahmin and funnily communist - every single prime minister/minister of Nepal has been from these families only, which leaves very little room to understand the real problems of people in Nepal. We aren't even demanding so much, it's a small country.
