I’m not clear on how you thread this need and what you mean by start in the middle of the thread and finish with the rest. Was that misspoken to actually mean middle of diamond ? The thread does not look double over.

TFS, this is so pretty. I have a question though. Do you finish off the last bead on the bottom the same way as the top? Because the top bead is horizontal and the bottom bead is vertical. I would like to see how you finished this bottom part. Do you have another video showing a finishing bead? Thanks so much for sharing I just ordered all my supplies. Can't wait to play.

Can someone tell me once threaded is the string double or do i tie a not so its single going through beads?
@OG_Beckie_Leigh4 жыл бұрын
Michelle It’s a single strand of thread. The design is started in the middle of your length of thread, and you do not need to tie a knot. You may use a stop bead if it helps you feel more secure getting the first row started, but it isn’t really necessary. The nature of this stitch secures the beads within the first couple of stitches. I hope this helps. ❤️

Great video, thanks for your clear directions. One thing I found interesting was when you flip the triangle around to start the bottom part (which makes the diamond). I was surprised to see how you started that next row because the thread shows on the outside of the bead. In this example that's not a big deal because your beads and your thread are black, but if you had different colored beads and the thread didn't match, that seems like it would look sloppy? Seems like you could just work the thread through some of the other beads so that it comes down through that end bead instead of up. That way, you could start the new row the way you do on every other row, and the thread wouldn't show. Unless there's another reason for doing it this way? Just curious. Thanks!
@FusionBeadsSea4 жыл бұрын
Certainly understandable. We do offer different colors of Fireline to ensure the stringing material is less visible. The stringing material left to the outside is to help anchor the beads for that next row. You could attempt to string through the bead, making sure that it does not lift out and catches on the other loop, and hope that it holds the next row.

How long should I make my line? I thought I did it about five feet but I ran out. I did it a second time and the same thing happened.
@FusionBeadsSea4 жыл бұрын
We did use about 5 feet, but depending on a few factors, you may want to start with more. You could also weave in more thread to complete the pieces.
@kayreardon73385 жыл бұрын
if i wanted to make this a little smaller do i need to start with an even or odd number of beads?
@FusionBeadsSea5 жыл бұрын
You would still do an even count on this, you will start by building a 16 bead ladder stitch center. Or if you do want it smaller, there is the option of using size 15 Delica seed beads!

Great video! I just finished one side. I was just wondering, when you flip the earring over to begin the second half, how do you get the thread to the other side? My thread was coming out of the upper half of the earring, so when I went to continue the second half some beads on the side of my diamond got a little out of place. Niawen (thank you)!
@FusionBeadsSea4 жыл бұрын
Easy peasy, you can weave the thread back through the beads to get where you want it to be.
