We are delighted to have supported Turner Prize nominee Ian Davenport’s exhibition at Dallas Contemporary, ‘Horizons’, which is open from now until March 2019. ‘Horizons’ provides a rare chance to see the range of Ian’s work across decades (including ‘Colorfall’ from the Venice Biennale) and the opportunity to walk amongst so many of these immersive, massive works in the industrial space of @dallascontemporary, curated beautifully by museum director Peter Doroshenko.
The exhibition begins with an early work from his student days at Goldsmiths, up to recent work made specifically for the museum space. As Ian and Peter walk through the exhibition in the hours before the opening, they reveal the scale of the work and the range of Ian’s practice. They also discuss ‘Instagrammable’ moments, his work from the Venice Biennale and how light and color work together.
