I'm sure you've heard this before but the reason I love this is because I'm a relatively new fan and the sporadic analysis and history your provide in these is absolutely fascinating for me. I know you have time constraints but if there's any way you could do even more analysis, critique, and history, I would love that. Also, I think this is a huge opportunity for the culture. You (Avo) and your guests speak eloquently about this stuff and I don't anyone else doing that regularly at the same level. It provides feedback to battlers that have a positive impact on the culture. Like, Diz has emphasized the importance of bar relevance and I think this is a great point that should be a regular part of analysis. Now that the art form has evolved, there's a need for this kind of discussion.

You said you were a new fan four years ago. Are you still watching battle rap? With COVID, URL only releasing battles on the app, lots of stuff, it hasn’t been a great five years for the culture. But there are SO MANY classics for a new fan to watch. I wish I could go back and watch the last 15 years of dope battles for the first time.
@IScreamedWolf Жыл бұрын
@@jluchetteI stopped watching like 10 years ago and got back into BR during Covid cause my old roommates are super into it. Bro it’s better than it’s ever been from a creative/talent standpoint, but yeah the culture is dying and URL paywalling damn near everything isn’t helping at all. Idk how the culture can grow again, but with hip hop being the way it is rn I don’t see it getting much better

@IScreamedWolf that's true yo a lot of battle rappers are having business issues with owners n shit its really looking like things won't get BETTER as a whole, but stay where it's at

Not word for word, but if you’ve been a fan for throughout the last ten years or more you will catch the references, peep the cameos. 1st scene for example has Big T referencing a classic moment from a actual Big T battle, but the words have been changed. Next battle has Dizaster vs Daylyt which confrontation leads into a fight which is a reference to the math vs Diz fight.

"The reason metal is in loagan like william Stryker" diz I think decyphered that wrong, chilla meant that as in Logan (wolverine) reason wolverine has metal in him like william Stryker as in the military officer that was responsible for infusing wolverines bone skeleton with metal from the X-Men comics. If I'm not mistaken Diz u got it wrong.

Why is Diz talking like none of us fans know that Iron screwed over Saurus in their battle?
