What Branson and Bezos have done is pretty remarkable. I'm giving a slight edge to Bezos, dude strapped himself into a rocket and launched from a pad. If I crapped money, I'd ride Blue Erectus first, then take a spin on Virgin Galactic.

What a difference from the first flights back in the 60s when everybody came out and was tested for a gazillion things and they couldn’t get near people now they just walk right out of the capsule and everything‘s fine how cool is that~

They technically didn't even leave earth. What's there to test for? They were at less than 1/5th of the altitude of the space station that isn't that high up either. If you look at a school room globe and compare they only went up 2mm (0.078 inches) That's barely any distance at all. They flew less than 1/5000th of the distance to the moon.

Both Branson and Bezos have built toys with a lot of flash and ego sizzles but little practical use and, at the very best, a murky path to future development. Do not anticipate future development from either Branson's high tech kite or Bezos' updated Mercury capsule. If you can't go orbital, you can't do squat.
