Everyone in this world must learn CPR. Save someones life in that critical time. If all know CPR how many lives could be saved. Most deaths through heartattack on spot or in ambulance. I'm a retired EMT and level one trauma tech, first off CPR was not being done correctly!!! Second, patient needed to be on floor with nothing between bare chest and hands!!! Third, and most importantly....he was NOT in Cardiac Arrest!!!!!!! Nor was he having a heart attack!!!!!! They are two very DIFFERENT things!!!!!! Well…. Actually, unless he’s on a heart monitor, no one can tell if he’s having a heart attack or not. He could very well be having one (remember, a simple definition of a heart attack is a blocked artery causing the death of cardiac tissue that is being starved of oxygen.) But if he WAS in fact, having a heart attack, and this dude came up and started shoving his chest around - well then, that is a most unfortunate fellow. Hope he feels better (and finds new friends who are trained in first aid & CPR)

That doesn’t matter… the guy was clearly conscious of his surroundings and was alert. I don’t know who these dam people are, but they are one of the most dumbest people I’ve seen. DOING COMPRESSIONS ON SOMEONE WHO IS CLEARLY BREATHING? He was literally in a chair, which is from what I understand not supposed to happen. Again, I’m not a medical professional, but this, this right here, isn’t correct. Here’s the correct method to use when doing CPR, #1, check if the individual is responsive, #2, get someone to call 911, #3 check for any signs of life (pulse check). If there’s no pulse you can start CPR.

Correct , CPR must be given by keeping patient in lying posture on hard surface. Not on mattress or on soft surface like foam mattress or so. Your aim is to make heart beating so you need to press sternum (chest bone) hard not on shock absorbing chair as shown in video. Appreciate your efforts though.

If someone is sitting in a chair and they're having a heart attack, you need to get them on the floor the best way to do that is by pulling their feet they will slide and fall on the floor. I learned this the worst way my father was having a heart attack and he was sitting on the couch The 911 operator told me I had to get him to the floor I pulled him by his arms I was hysterical I told her I couldn't she said grab him by his feet and pull him to the floor. I did so and I was able to get him on the floor and start chest compressions I heard his ribs cracking 5 minutes later Ems was here they worked on my daddy for 45 minutes They were able to bring my daddy back. A week later he was taken off of life support he passed away two days later. I miss his so much

If you ever find it challenging to move past this, considering therapy might be beneficial. I made a similar mistake when my mom passed away 12 years ago, and only recently sought the therapy I needed back then. The passage of time can make addressing the trauma more challenging.

@@sayantikaghosh4240 press your first finger and middle finger to the side of your neck, just under your jaw and beside your windpipe - don't use your thumb. press your skin lightly to feel your pulse - if you can't find it, try pressing a bit harder or move your fingers around,you'll find a kinda movement which means that pulse is present and if you don't find any,it indicates absence of the pulse.

I know their trying to help him but getting him to a hospital would have been the more feasible approach considering the lack of knowledge of how to correctly perform CPR/first aid and knowing the difference between the 2. Never give CPR to a person who is in a sitting position . Lie them down on the floor after putting some cloth on the surface for insulation( not necessary but good), elevate their legs by putting a cushion/ folded clothes/box / basically anything around, underneath their ankle/lower leg to elevate them above chest level and then deliver the Compressions. Call for Ambulance and in the mean time call for AED device if the premises has one. AED will assist a non medico in delivering the shock. And will give voice assistance. Remember to not stop the Compressions( at 100/min). Only to stop while applying the AED pads on chest and while delivering the shock when the machine tells you to. Switch people giving compressions every 2min or so as most people get tired and give poor quality CPR compressions. Despite all this Ambulance should be called and patient's condition should be evaluated & investigated in a hospital setup.

​@UCxYMIPMwUe4m5YpjTUl37nQ wow that 5-10min time estimate. their doesn't have to be strict guidelines of how to put someone on the floor (although 'gently' is preferable), putting up their legs: just take a jacket ball it up and shove it under their legs (20 seconds max). calling for assistance = priceless. just yell at them while your doing one of the other two things, have someone call for 911, and have someone get the AED.

even if it was a dying stage that officer could have obviously killed him with all these wrong techniques. first of all that position the patient is laying is so dangerous as he wont be getting much air, the officer could have killed him by breaking the rib into his heart. so it's was not skill that saved him but he just coincidentally got lucky.@Wingschannel112

CPR Rule no 1- Never perform CPR on conscious patients. It is only done on unconscious patients with no pulse and no breathing/gasping. Rule no 2- Always perform CPR with patient in lying position (preferably on a hard surfaces) Thank god the patient responded otherwise they would have killed him in the name of CPR Thank you
