The back combing is a great idea! I made a little half knot at the end of the hair on my mannequin when I was self-teaching. I haven't worn nails in years but I feel like they would be helpful in the process. Great job! How much would that same install cost today?

Some people brick layer the parts, so that each loc is offset the one below it. Do you suggest that parting style?

I only install square parts , but the “grid” or “brick layer” parting style I leave up to the client since it’s all a preference.

Yes I had small traditional locs. No my color didn’t cause breakage but I had thinning around my edges due to postpartum
