I noticed how you almost stopped @ 6:34 on a green traffic light and completely stopped at a yellow light. This is where the vehicle behind you passed you. One thing about NYC is that if you don't moved then you will be wayyy behind and go nowhere. Definitely a very safe and reliable way to drive slow in NYC when you have nowhere to be or not afraid of spending multiple hours stuck in traffic. Autonomous driving is desired in NYC heavy traffic.

Pretty impressive, seems as least as good as Tesla FSD, although Tesla just let it test anywhere in the US by normal people, so they have no limitation on where it's driving. For this video I'm not sure. did they specifically train it to drive in this area?

Actually, funny thing of all that [which is matter of fact] - A.I. is the still in his early stages of development; but he/she (or it) actually drives better now than me who have 25 years of driving experience 😢😢😢 I’m not claiming. for myself, that I am such bad driver, but as far as I can see A.I. is a much safer and more careful driver unlike me who like to drive as "human style" - ie. carelessly (aggressiv & reckless)

Lol I’m sure FSD beta 9 would have no problems this route.

@@alanshaji6 FSD Beta can hardly do anything safely or without intervention. But give it freeways or wide well-marked roads, then FSD looks passable. Currently in the latest build, they haven't even fixed it from driving directly toward stationary objects. It is thus still death on wheels.

@@barry6996 You sound like you haven’t watched any of the FSD beta videos. It still is a work in progress but far better than any other competitors. There’s a reason it’s called an early beta and has been released to only a limited amount of selected people.

@@alanshaji6 Alan, you've really swallowed the Tesla blue pill haven't you? Actually, I follow more than 30 Tesla Beta testers. While it looks good in some scenarios it is fundamentally flawed even in the latest release: - It is still incapable of making most unprotected turns safety. - While assessing oncoming traffic at junctions, it will commonly protrude into lanes it is turning into, creating a partial obstruction. Even worse, it will sometimes stop in the middle of an intersection or do it so slowly that it becomes a hazard. - Has had many instances where in confusion with its navigation it will drive directly toward stationary objects, such as barricades, cones, bridge pillars, or even other cars. - It often gets stuck behind other vehicles and doesn't know how to get around them. Sometimes it does attempt to go around when it would be inappropriate or dangerous to do so. - Frequently chooses an incorrect lane such as a turn lane when in fact it is driving straight on. - It is unable to navigate many roadwork situations. - Many times it waits too long before getting into the correct lane, and then realizing its error, will often make a hazardous maneuver to correct itself. - It is totally incapacitated if it encounters large crowds of people. - It often stops meters backs from the stop line. - Regularly doesn't indicate before changing lanes or making turns. - It struggles to be assertive and change lanes in heavier traffic. - On joining fast lanes from a junction it fails to accelerate fast enough to match the existing traffic. - It cannot deal with snow. - Fails on some extreme road curves and mistakenly treats some abrupt contours as an intersection. - It usually cannot deal with parking lots. - It cannot reverse. - In situations of inclement weather it does not lower its speed to take into account the additional driving difficulty. - In narrow streets with parked cars and space enough for only one lane of traffic, it cannot anticipate or negotiate with other road users. - Can have problems with hilly roads. As the car approaches the crest of a hill it doesn't slow down as a human would, even though its forward vision is obscured. - It cannot recognize police, or hand signals of those assisting traffic. - The "Summon" feature is not usable other than as a quick party trick. - The automatic parking facility occassionally fails to perceive parking spaces at the vehicle's current position. - Lastly, as we are fully aware, this is not claimed to be a door-to-door system. It would take a lot of development before it could realistically drop someone off or find a parking space by itself. Personally I think it's years before a genuinely safe version of FSD will be available that is fully autonomous.
