@araxen araxen hey there. With fashion colors go nuts but with more "natural colors" you have to take account your skin tone. It hard to say not seeing your face or hair. Color can work for everyone it's just finding the one that best suits you. Kinda like a red lip. Everyone can wear red but make sure it's the right red or it can make you skin look green, gray, sallow or washed out. Hopefully that made sense. Sorry I cant completely answer your question

So funny that you mentioned moisture. I also got a treatment that is often used in Asian salons called the Milbon Moisture treatment. It’s amazing coupled with my current routine. BUT...it only lasts 5 weeks so I’ll be interested to see how my hair responds after that.

I love your cut and color. I wish I had a stylist that I could trust to touch my hair. In the past I've had a bad experience and I'm now salon-shy. My tresses haven't been touched by anyone else in 16 years. This isn't to say that I haven't seen magnificent curly shapes on others ( you, for an example) and wish that it could be replicated on my curly locks. Perhaps, one day. You have given me hope.

Thank you so much! You know what, I have been really lucky to find a number of amazing stylists over the years that have treated my hair as if it were their own. I usually go into a salon situation with two things in mind... #1 if things don't turn out exactly the way I expect, it's okay because my hair will grow back. #2 I'm not afraid to question a stylist just because she is a stylist. If i see something that he/she is doing that doesn't work for my hair I say it.

@@curlsunbothered OK, I get that. I had a stylist in the late 80's to the mid 90's and she was FANTASTIC! I trusted her hands and I never had an issue. Problem was, she moved far out and at the time I wasn't willing to travel. I eventually cut it all off to 2 inches and was in love with it. Letting my hair grow back, I realize how much I miss her. Now, I would travel to her even a few times a year, but I don't know where she is. Ugh! You are lucky. 😁

YES! That was my exact thought process! Because I'm such a low maintenance natural I was afraid to go full throttle because high maintenance hair is a no-go for me.

ok, as I said on IG, I LUV it! I will say, I thought balayage was applied differently, but that doesn't really matter cuz I still think looks good! moving on, I think balayage or highlights are a good place to start for a drastic color change as opposed to the whole head. if u really luv it, u can always do ur whole head in a few months. now, can I ask why u didn't go back to Fiddleheads? I've been heavily considering going to a salon that caters to natural hair, not just in order to straighten it, ya know. I'm definitely gonna check out this salon!
