Your babies are so blessed to have a momma that took the time to learn their hair instead of just slapping on some relaxer😭😭wish i had that too, but I've learned to take care of it myself, and if i ever have girls, i want them to learn how to embrace their own hair. Well done mom!!

They may not have liked the obsession over long hair displayed in the video. We need to stress healthy hair to our kids, period. That puts an undue amount of stress on women that they need to have long hair, making them often define themselves by their hair. But yes, some people may also just be haters. Just speaking honestly, because of what I experienced growing up (me and my sisters were constantly made to feel we should have long hair by our mother)….it turned me off because the video felt like an obsession. My sister then raised my niece the same way (obsessing over length like our mother)…..and my niece rebelled by cutting ALL of her hair off. (I immediately understood why my niece did it). I raised my daughters differently and just ensured they had healthy hair - did not obsess over length, never made a big deal about it. It allowed them to never stress about hair.

This was a great video on realistic hair growth. I loved how you cold see (on average) 4-6 inches of healthy hair growth each year. Given the average hair growth is 6 inches per year, this would make sense. This shows how it can take YEARS to have long shoulder/waist length hair, even with good hair care regimens. It is definitely not an overnight success story. Thank you and your girls for sharing your hair growth journey with us. You are all beautiful, with lovely hair. 😊

Finally hair video I can relate to. This hair that is beautiful and healthy. No more heat is applied than to make it easier to manage, brings to mind Madame CJ Walker’s technique. No extravagant costs, or toxic chemicals. If more of us knew how to do this I believe fewer of us would be using chemical relaxers or weaves both of which are damaging to our hair.
