For this years Chevening Awards (FCDO) application, I have received already too many requests from applicants to go through their essays and I am already feeling overwhelmed so this is how I can make myself available to applicants: I will organise LIVE (KZbin) WEEKLY OR BI-MONTHLY APPLICATION SESSIONS where we will discuss different parts of the essays and attempt to answer the questions. I will do my best to answer the questions and concerns of applicants and those I donot hsve an answer to, I will channel that to the able minds within Chevening In-Cameroon This will be FREE OF CHARGE and each session will address a particular aspect of the application. I am thinking of having the first session on the 31st of August 2024 at around 7pm Cameroon time. Let me know if you will like to participate and I can go ahead and set this up.

i saw in what is included in the scholarship ' a homeward departure allowance' ... does it mean that after the program is over we would be sent back to our home country. Also in the eligiblity it states 'Commit to returning to your home country for at least two years after your scholarship ends.' does this mean that we must return back to Nigeria(in my case). i just want to know how to go about these things. thank you.

Yes you get a departure allowance because you must go back to your home country. In your case, you must go back to Nigeria but if you have seminars and conferences within that two weeks, you can travel to the UK and return back to Nigeria
