Rajya Sabha MP Ramdas Athawale gave a poetic farewell to Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad who retires from the upper house on 15th February 2021. Delivering a speech in his inimitable style, Athawale lauded Azad’s services and also made an offer to the senior Congress leader. Athawale said that if the Congress does not give Azad a Rajya Sabha ticket, the RPI would gladly do so. Watch this full video for all the details.

The Congress Party should consider itself lucky and fortunate for having a gracious member like Ghulam Nabi Azad. The party should thank Mr. Azad for continuing with them thus far and not deserting as some have done. Indeed from common man's perspective there were some chances and possibilities of Mr. Azad jumping the ship but he continued with the party. His loyalty should be appreciated by the party leaders and be thankful to him. Unlike many others Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad was a very decent, polite, well behaved and a cultured member of the Upper House where he will be missed hereafter.
