Hey Steve, Thanks for your comment. I am glad to hear he is still performing. I remember Mark Hays sold Robo at the Barrett Jackson Auto Auction back in 2003 or 2004 and when that happened I just assumed it was the last we would see of it. It's great to hear it's back on the air show circuit!

Yea Aaron, Robo is amazing. I'm not sure where it is today. I remember Mark Hays, one of the original owners and the show planner for Robo sold it at the Barrett Jackson Auto Auction in like 2003-2004 I think, so I don't know who owns it today or if it even performs. It was fun to watch back then.

No, this was posted 8 years ago. It was actually 20 years ago when he performed at our show. Robo has been around for quite sometime. It’s not a “robot” the way you imagine it today. It’s actually more of an engineering feat - a cool car - two guys are controlling it. One on the ground and one up in his nose.

animaljp3 Really? is there a better robot out there today? I'm serious - I really don't know because I have been removed from the business for a number of years. I can't believe there are too many investors willing to put the money into one of these things like Mark and his team did. It's SO expensive and the return through events is minimal in comparison. We used to pay $20,000 for the weekend performance, but I know their margins were thin at that rate. Point me to a video of one of the better robots out there today. I'd love to see what they can do now. Thanks!
