My husband and I really had a “whirlwind” romance, married in 3 months after we met. I had a college age daughter and he had a 17 and 15 yr old sons. I still can’t believe how they just blended right away, both the kids with each other and with both of us! It was like we all had just been waiting for each other. 34 years, 3 wonderful grandchildren and all is still a family that really loves and cares deeply about each other. I think Janelle feels like these Christmas’s are more family because they now get to choose what they do and what tradition they build, where Kody cares more about image and things being impressive instead of the actual family. That’s why Kody and Robyn both miss the experiences, not the actual people.

This will be a Christmas without Robyn presenting Kody with a Sketch of Kody and her kids, an Engraved Watch, and Certificates with her name change...and GOD knows what else. When Kody and the wives are at Dinner, where Kody said that he wasn't sure if he was cut out for Polygamy...he got up for something, and Christine said that she wasn't feeling like she was wanted...then Robyn on the other side of the table, tried to squeeze out a tear saying, "This is about me, right?" Janelle got up and went over to Robyn saying..nonono honey, no one thinks that.... It was not the first or last time Robyn did something like that. And showing off her ring was beyond pathetic, as well as her grinning, and the conversation. She seriously pitted the others against each other, especially Meri by seeing whatever was misunderstood, and when asked, she said that she didn't think it was her place to say something. Like Robyn has nothing to say, ever. Robyn stalked Meri after stalking Kody....just for different outcomes This sweetie, grinning, shy "Diesel Jean model", has not only trashed the family! She I guess, didn't think it was her business, to call Gabe, Harrison, or Mykelti, and try to apologize, or even suggest that she would like the family together for Christmas. Hell...she told Meri she didn't want fighting at Meri's on Christmas Eve, where they had always had Christmas Eve, and received Pajamas !!! And she took the baking of the Turkey, from Meri! Then she neglected to have Meri come over for their Second Christmas with Ysabel and Truly there. I now suspect, that was definitely planned on purpose so she could gloat, showing that they wanted Robyn..... Ysabel was definitely not happy Sorry, but it is not without malice, what Robyn has cost Meri....behind Meri's back

Have you noticed how many times Robyn subtly did trash Meri ? She also started the ,"My kids can soon decide if they want to live with their father 'shpeel " She started from the beginning, when Meri was asked, and answered if Sister Wives were trusted with family...I'm not sure how it came up...but, Meri was saying that when her sister died, those Sisterwives stepped right in and took care of her kids, like they were her own. She said that she could pass, and know that Janelle and Christine would care for Mariah (at the time). Immediately, it was a Robyn thing. Once Robyn and Kody legally Married, Robyn wasn't over with Meri much. As a new married to Kody Wife, they went to Hawaii, and Robyn said on her recording... That she was able to "take Kody to Hawaii, by saving her Grocery money". She directed it to Christine, actually saying Christine ! It's amazing what they hid. It explains a lot.

I remember when I was growing up you had to drag me into the house. When it rained I went outside anyways. The kids on my street would have soccer games in the street or play hide and seek. We had about a dozen kids just on our street alone. In the summer we could walk to the library or scrounge our nickels and dimes and we would walk to the local dairy. So kids need to be more free range.

I’m almost 65 now and when we were growing up we played outside all the time. One time we cut a hole in the hedge bush in front of our house and pretended it was a drive thru like McDonald’s. Our Mom had a fit. We used holly berries and leaves for money. We made mud pies and played in the creek, rode bikes…most kids stayed outside until the street lights came on. My grandson asked me what video games his dad played when he was growing up. I told him we didn’t even get internet until his dad was around 8, and it was dial up.

Janel has had a whirlwind few years of serious life event/changes. My husband told our BIL when our sister divorced him and then passed away unexpectedly, to not make any large decisions for at least a year. It stuck with me but makes sense. I’m in the midst of grief myself now and those words rattle in me. Our BIL however didn’t take the advice and bought a sports car, married his gf after a brief tryst, adopted her child and then had one with her 🙃 it’s turned out well so far thankfully, but grief presents so weird and ways you never expect.
