Watch Strap Repair (Replacement)

I had the strap of my watch break, this is me fixing it with a strap from a similar watch which had broken in a different manner.

you could've just used a very small flat head to pinch the spring loaded cylinder so you didn't have to break it

If you are talking about at 1:11 it is not possible as the "anvil" ends of the spring loaded cylinder are in small divots which prevent that method.
