I HATED season 3 of Scorpion! The character development turned Walter into an idiot and Paige into an insensitive shrew, while the storylines were so extremely inconsistent I actually believed the writers hated their viewers. The only relationship that continually evolved in a way that made sense was the one between Toby and Happy. Even that garbage of a series finale found that couple happily complete.

+nicky sullivan it's ok if you don't like the show. There are a lot of shows that I think are ridiculous, yet people love them. (I cannot stand the acting in Supergirl). Granted, the scripts are outrageous. Everyone knows that. So was (is) McGyver or just about any procedural (save some awesome dramas from TNT). Psych? Silly- but HI-larious. Chuck? The fighting was totally unbelievable. But that's not why we watch. Those shows brought their audiences some joy with their humor and heart. It's not about the situations. It's about the people. For your information, I DO watch this show for the acting. As you said above, you were, "bored 3 episodes in". So you didn't see Happy freak out when Toby nearly suffocated. You didn't see Walter break down as he came to grips with his sister's death. You didn't see Ralph and Paige desperately fighting LA Traffic for what might have been Walter's last moments. You didn't see Sylvester and Megan's relationship. You didn't see Cabe emotionally adopt these emotionally inept people. We like this show because we like the people in it- these broken people that have come together to form this little family. Nah, it's not always believable or realistic. But it's always fun, it's always fast-moving, it's always heartwarming and it's (usually) happy, and sometimes it's just sad enough to make you connect with these people. I'm watching this interview because I love this show and I think these people are great at their jobs (especially Eddie and Jadyn.) So please just let us enjoy our shows, and you can enjoy yours :). And that's all I am gonna say. I don't reply to negative comments.

They ruined this show with all the romantic stuff. It's why people stopped watching and it was cancelled. People liked the characters & wanted to see Paige and Walter be in love but bringing in the jock probably turned off all the techo fans who always got pushed around by jocks growing up. I kept waiting for them to kill off that character & the interaction between Paige and Walter was never the same after that. And Happy wanting a baby ? Too many shows have been ruined by having 2 characters get married and bringing babies in, like Get Smart.

They didn't necessarily ruin the show because of the jock. They show's dynamic changed because the connection between Walter & Paige became distant. Paige didn't struggle internally trying to come to terms with her feelings for Walter like in the previous 2 seasons. Walter became some sort of consolation prize for her instead of the prize she truly wanted aka the jock (as you put it).

I agree with you about the jocks. Not only did they bring in one but 2 and I hated them. I played football as a center and a catcher in baseball but I was never a jock and the jock types bullied everyone in any school I was in I hate jocks and bullies and trolls who are also bullies to this day. Were it not for Drew and Tim, Paige and Walter would have been a couple & I don't know why they brought them in. They did nothing for the show.

@@georgesenda1952 Both Drew and Tim were brought in to further the story one could argue except they didn't do much to create the risk and excitement. Drew probably did more to enhance the Walter/Paige dynamic. Tim sort of killed the buzz. (Drew) Paige and Ralph were supposed to fly to see him when they see Walter's car on the side of the cliff. Paige then struggles with idea that Walter could've died and they split on bad terms. It was an eye opener for her. In watching season 3, the Tim/Paige romance truly ruined the Walter/Paige romance. They made Walter out to be a jealous/love sick puppy whom eventually ends up with the girl. Not due to the 2 of them realizing their bond. So yeah Tim had no purpose in evolving the Walter/Paige story.
