I love the simplicity and minimalism of her dress. It's interesting to see people's reactions to the dress because on the flipside, if she'd had this big frilly ball gown with tons of lace and bling, everyone would say it's more about the marriage than the dress. if she'd spent very little on the dress, people would try and roast her for that too. She walked a very precarious line while still finding ways to make it mean something for not only herself and her husband, but also the people watching them.

Looking at her wedding pictures vs the engagement pictures and when she and Harry were doing their first visits she'd lost quite a bit of weight. The stress up to the very day of the wedding with her father and the last minute preparations and if Finding Freedom is correct, trying to get all these dress rehearsals, etc. I can see why and they probably had to do a lot of adjusting. She's really petite

My REAL problem is that the dress didn’t fit the bride’s personality. If it was black and you lost the veil it could be worn to a funeral. I didn’t see anything of Megan in that dress. It didn’t even fit her properly for crying out loud. That dress looked Amish.

Kate used 16 different flowers for her wedding cake decoration with each symbolizing something personal to her and William.
