And that led me to 3 great years at Youngstown state. Please stop hating on these young bucks, they're just trying to make a name for themselves. he throwing over hand. hes prob a good hitter and plays outfield also, a 1st base rarely throws so it effect like at best 1% of innings and even then whose to say it doesnt work. not worth it if your also gonna be playing outfield, and arent dead set on infield.
@marshalcraft5 жыл бұрын
out fielder's usually throw directly over hand, cause slight left or right means totally missing the catcher from center field, being little high or low doesn't matter. All though Ichiro dam near threw side arm, but he probably could throw better then any infielder of his time, Jeter, etc. Just didn't have the ground ball handling skills like other short stops. Or wasn't tall enough to Jump. Short stop kind of like soccer goally, tall lanky person has distinctive advantage at stopping the ball.

I'm not far from 60, but this takes me back to my youth, a lifetime ago, but in my mind I can sense the texture of my glove, the feel of my uniform, and the distinctive scent of a baseball. I was an infielder myself, couldnt play the outfield for beans and had mad respect for anyone who could. These guys are talented and have a love of the game. One day they too will look back and think of these days, and when they do, they too will remember the textures, sounds, and smells that is baseball.

In 1986, when I was going through Marine Corps "boot camp", I'd stand there in formation and stare up the hill at the beautiful tower and buildings of University of San Diego, and I'd silently vow to myself: "I'm gonna go to college. I'm gonna do better than this. I'm going to get my degree and be a history teacher." I just loved looking at those buildings. It reminded me that I still had time. I could still do it. That I'd somehow get there. That it was real. It took me away from the stress and depressing reality of my most recent life decision, which i wasn't completely happy with.
