Thank you for the comment. I’m African American and I love my curly hair but I am tender headed, which means combing and de tangling is very painful. I love our hair and how versatile it is, but the tediousness and constant maintenance is what causes some of us to straighten our hair. In many cases we stretch our hair before braiding for less hassle.
