So Bonnie (Metta, unless she doesn't like it) was great on the ride home. She got right into the car and was fine for the ride. She's so sweet. She really has a connection with Peter. Yay, Bonnie!! I've fostered well over 100 dogs, and when they are adopted, it's always a HAPPY day. 🙂 I've failed a few times...and I currently have four dogs...but I couldn't keep all of them...and every adoption made room for another foster and another future happy day for a dog that needed a loving home. I appreciate all that your team does for the dogs that need the most help.

Thinking about a few of the comments here. There is no way Rocky could help all the really worse cases if he didn't adopt them out. I feel very confident that if for any reason the dogs went backwards he would be right there to scoop them back up. You can see and feel the love he has for all of them. When there are so many pets treated so bad we need to be positive to those that give so much love like Rocky and his wife does. I am sure it's not easy for them to let go.

When Kelly and Rocky find a loving home for a dog in their care, then they can foster another dog who might not make it out of the shelter due to emotional issues or physical needs. This is the beauty of fostering! 🌼💗

@@shaneeslick Please let me try and explain it to you. A lot of people do not have experience with dog rescue and fostering. They see a dog that was so scared they were shaking or they may even have soiled themselves. Then they see Rocky work his magic and the dog gains confidence, wags his tail, shows no fear, gets medical care, receives nutritious food, starts playing with toys, etc. Then the dog is given away to someone new. Some people are afraid that the dog may be confused and feel abandoned all over again. This is the perception some people have. People need to be educated regarding fostering.

You guys are great. I am from Ontario Canada and I volunteered for a cat rescue for 20 years and retired when my health made it difficult. I fostered a lot of abused, neglected and feral adults. Most of them went on to be adopted. I agree with you that fostering makes a big difference in a good way.

Actually she's doing so good with a lot of people around. She looks happy and excited. I think an older couple is absolutely PERFECT for Bonnie. Bonnie did not seem to connect with her new parents right away, but that might not be a fair assessment, given all of the excitement around her (and the need to poop) when they all came together. #7:00 If you adopted every single dog that you've cared for, you'd literally have no time for sitting with other dogs that need your help! You could never get anything done, and it the strength that anyone needs to foster, help the animal through tough times to be a stronger and happier dog, must be tremendous.
