This made me into tears. This era in the music industry is really TOUGH because too many newbies are coming strong. With different genre and singing style, the old generation of singers should really reinvent so as they can be still marketable. However, with the queen of all queens, RVA, she will always remain relevant in the industry. With her as the inspiration of these great newbies, RVA will still be RELEVANT. Same goes to Lea Salonga. As for my personal favorite artist, Kyla, we know for the fact and you have admitted this personally, you have fears and uncertainties with the way the industry is growing because of these new artists that are coming. Kyla has a distinctive, soothing voice and is capable of really complicated and intricate melismas; plus, her transitions between vocal registers are as smooth as can be. Regine's ability to produce light, soft tones and then later on powerful belts is amazing; she's unpredictable and capable of blowing you away-better hold on to your chair! 4:58 and 5:45 both G#5 in different vocal registers.

This is definitely more than just a performance! I really felt the emotions coming from both singers. Their voices completed each other and I have so much respect and appreciation for their vocal ability! This song really showcased their vocals. I love Ms. Regine’s raw voice and a rare tone. I can’t think of any other singers that have somewhat similar tone. It is so beautiful and unique. Kyla’s vocals on the other hand are so well put together. Her riffs and runs are just right and not overdone. There’s a feeling of humbleness when she sings. Her vocal techniques are so impressive! Mind you she is singing with Ms. Regine who I consider a living legend and one of the best singers in the Philippines. Her notes were well executed to compliment Ms. regines notes. Like Regine said, Kyla is a "Kampeon" in her own right. The problem with Kyla is simple. She's always "afraid" of her own talent. In their SOP days, Kyla was only comfortable to sing extremely high notes when she was sharing the stage with Regine and Jaya.
