Magic Johnson had Some great advice for Clark - call Larry Bird for advice. What these superstar rookies are going through mirrors the Bird/Magic saga. A lot of black fans and players hating Bird because he got so much attention as "the great white hope", and a lot of people disrespecting Magic as not being as great as Bird - just a better physical athlete. Neither of them wanted any of that. And you have to remember that the NBA was DOWN back then. Ratings were so bad the that the networks would not interrupt regular programming even for the playoffs and the FINALS - they were shown late on tape delay!
