John from www.okraw.com/ shows you how you can purchase a blender for under $85 that beats the Vitamix in a dry and wet test.
In this episode, John will share with you some of his high-end blenders and why you may not necessarily need to purchase an expensive blender to get the benefits of fruits and vegetables in your diet.
John will talk about the following high power blenders: Objecto Blender by Bugatti, The Vitamix Blender, The Blendtec Blender and the Tribest DynaPro Blender. You will learn some of the features that John likes and dislikes on each of the models.
Next, John will share with you a special website that you can order high power blenders that may have Vitamix-like performance for a much lower cost. He will share how to navigate the site and which vendor and blender he recommends on the site.
John will then share how long it took to get his blender from China, and then open up the box to show you the $85 blender and how he got an extra carafe with blade assembly for only $30 additional. John will then share some of his honest opinions about the blender with you as well as share the construction quality.
Next, John will compare the $85 NutriMax Blender made in China against the $450 Vitamix Blender made in the USA. You will see John grind up flax seeds into flax powder and you will learn which blender did a better job.
Finally, John will make a smoothie with coconut water, orange, Brazil nuts, collard leaf and carrot to learn the consistency that each blender can produce and discover which blender blends better in the same time period.
After watching this episode, you will discover if the NutriMax blender made in China performs better than the Vitamix Blender made in the USA. You will discover if you can purchase this $85 blender and get Vitamix-style performance without the cost.

The motor underneath lets off a slight smell and it's a little loud kzbin.infoUgkxCKuMxLnvr6fJd_M4SE-n7trcGj3zEUHq but considering it's size and how hard it works to do the job, it's sort of expected. I assume the smell will go away over time. Overall, I love this cute little blender. The extra cups and lids are great too!

True story. My wife found a nice Vitamix blender on Goodwill for $6.99. It's a 2012 model and it runs like a champion. I have never had a better blender in my whole life. It blends beets and orange juice to a fine fluid that I use to control my high blood pressure. I honestly don't know who in Goodwill missed the fact that it's a Vitamix blender. Their loss. Our gain.

I have an Oster blender that I purchased in 1987 which has a 10 speed motor and a glass carafe which I love. I blend raw rice into rice flour and have almost no particles left. I prefer a glass carafe since the glass does not absorb orders as plastic does. Also; the blade assembly can be taken apart completely for easy cleaning as the glass jar can be rinsed clean and the assembly cleaned separately. One does not find that any more so I think I will keep my Oster!

This popped up in my recommendations so I thought I'd provide an update. I purchased this alternate blender almost immediately after this video was posted. Bought the package that came with the second jar. I was too rough (poor blending techniques) on the first jar and it cracked. The second jar has been serving me well and I use it to make my daily smoothies. Also works great for soups, frozen margaritas, and ice cream. Still not sure about durability vs. the Vitamix but it certainly does the job if you just don't want to or can't spent the money on the Vitamix.

The color difference in blending is because the Vitamix dual bearings have the extra side effect of causing heat. Thus Vitamix has a cook book for making soups in the blender. So don’t leave it in the blender too long at high speeds if you want raw blends.

Just got a Nutrimax a few days ago. Thanks! Great blender! Took less than ten days to get here. Very solid. No funkiness with the bearings, just solid and smooth. And they do sell replacements if necessary ... It's powerful and it turns hard things creamy like no other blender I've ever owned. In seconds. Haven't opened it up to look inside, but it feels like it will last a long time. Mine was $76. Free shipping. They had just raised the price to $86, but I poked around on their various pages and found the cheaper deal still there. Really wanted to try a high speed blender (giving veganism a try) but no way would I spend hundreds of dollars for one. Vitamix is ridiculous. Glad they have them made in China so we can get reasonably priced copies. I'm all for buying American made stuff, but not when they charge five times what it's worth.

My mam has had a $50 Oster for the last three years and it's done everything from blending drinks to crushing ice and making nut butter. It is still going strong and my $100 Ninja Pro has been running for over seven years now; well within the average lifespan of any blender. Even something as powerful as a Vitamix will crap out in a year if you consistently do heavy shit with it and that's coming directly from Consumer Reports, not my own imagination. I bought a NutriMax/BioloMix blender last year and recieved it mid december 2017. It has worked very well until now processing heavy amounts of smoothies with nuts, vegetables and fruits every morning. Only two complaints. The screw in the middle started to work loose every time I used the blender, but I have fixed it with cutting out a small ring of leather, and turning the screw back and now the screw stays fixed. The second isuue is the two blender carafes, the bearing ring now leaks fluid from both carafes. And one carafe doesn't smell nice from black metallic leak. I think the metal parts starts to be worn out. Maybe the Nutrimax is also a lot more noisy than in the beginning, I have started to wear earplugs when blending. But the price was vert affordable so this is not a complaint, just an update.

Our 21 year old Vitamix TNC is still going strong. It came with two jars: one wet and one dry. The dry jar has different blades designed specifically for grinding coffee, wheat berries and flax seeds. Makes great bread. About 8 years ago, I had the choice of receiving the Vitamix or the BlendTech as a gift from family and I finally chose the BlendTech after watching several videos of side by side comparisons (because they seemed the same, but I liked the look of the BlendTech better), but I am disappointed in it because it usually needs extra liquid to blend frozen foods. I don't know what type of trickery I was subjected to, but If I have to add more liquid to stop the air bubble from forming and freezing a dome over top of the blades such that the blades are in their own little air pocket, just spinning freely, it makes it an issue. So I called the company and they said, your blender is functioning properly, you just need the smaller container for dips and spreads to make things like smooth peanut butter or thicker blended food. So like a sucker, I bought that container for about 100$ from BlendTech. I still have to stop the blender, push stuff down, start again. I have felt like I bought the inferior product since I tried to make nice cream or a thick acai bowl and failed because of all of the above shenanigans. Then, when I started pricing the Vitamix again, thinking that I should be ready to know which model I want when I can finally afford it, and all of the reviews are now really bad saying that they only give their strongest Vitamixes to influencers and not to buy one because you'll get the junk one. So I'm here, looking for an honest review. Why is there a dips/frozen yogurt/icecream button if it doesn't work like that? Why should I need an extra container for thicker foods when I've seen people make peanut butter in a normal BlendTech container?

This same exact thing happens to me when trying to blend frozen fruits. It's so frustrating 😫 I even purchased a tamper (specifically made for blendtec but not blendtec brand) and the tamper does not help. I truly believe it's the design of the wide side jar. The jar needs to be designed differently. The bottom should be smaller and bigger towards the top. Like I upside down cylinder. It makes it easier to prevent air bubbles

Oh man, I have to agree about the Blendtec bearings blowing out. My wife and I use ours all the time, and so far, we've only had to replace the carafe once, but you are right, when it blew out...it totally blew out. Lots of little black pieces of rubber sealer were everywhere and the blender made the most horrible noise. And at $85.00 for a replacement carafe plus shipping...it sort of hurts the pocket book. My wife and I are working class people, living paycheck to paycheck, so we try and watch where we spend our money. As far as why we bought the Blendtec, it had to do with a Tai Chi class we took at a UCLA extension that my wife signed up for her massage license...and I joined in with her for the class because I have always loved Tai Chi. Anyway, the instructor Jeff Primack suggested a raw food diet for everyone and he suggested the Blendtec as a high quality blender. The sellikng point was that it can liquify an avocado pit, which Jeff said is super healthy to eat (drink, wink, wink, nod, nod). Anyway, thank you SO much for this information on being frugal with our money and a good buy for an affordable blender. By the way, the human body cannot digest the "juice" from the grass in your lawn. There have been studies on this, wheat grass etc. cannot be digested by the human stomach. You need four stomachs to do that. That is why I stopped drinking wheat grass juice, which by the way, always made me nauseous and sometimes made me want to toss my [vegan] cookies. Honestly? Wheat grass juice is gross...and no one should be consuming it. Also, keep in mind that masticating your food is actually better than juicing/blending if you really want to do your body the most good, as while you masticate, your saliva glands release very important enzymes that your digestive system needs in order to help you digest all that fiber and works with the breakdown of other chemicals in the food, which helps with absorption of all those important vitamins and other nutrients. When you are juicing and/or blending and then drinking those liquids, it goes down quickly and your saliva glands produce less saliva which is not helping to coat your digestive tract and mixing in with the liquid food that you just drank. Trust me, juicing/blending your vegies and fruits is great, and important for quick and easy consumption, but just remember to sip your drink slowly so your saliva glands can have the time to react and add to the all-important digestive process.

I really like John and all the dedication he puts into his work! I really appreciate his detailed information and never forgetting to tell people that they can still eat healthy even if they don't have money, time or other common barriers to eating healthier. This is a very helpful video too, but I'd like to share my experience with an 85.00 EUR blender with equal horsepower to the Vitamix, Blendtec, etc. It was a German brand and had hundreds of great reviews so I bought it. Though, 85.00 EUR may not seem like much money to some people, it is to me - especially if the blender's gears burn out in less than 6 months when I barely use it (maybe three times a week at most). I'd also returned the damaged parts for exchange 3 times during that period. I'd love to see a follow up video on this unit in the video in a few months. That said, before the 85.00 EUR blender, I had been making green smoothies, nut milks, hummus, soups, etc. in 50.00 to 70.00 USD blenders with about 500 to 700 watts and at least one blade directed somewhat downward, close to the base area of the carafe - I used Oster. I've been using a stainless steel stick blender by Braun for the past 2 years and it is my favourite blender yet - it works quickly and gets everything as I can completely control it with my hands. I may have to blend certain things like green smoothies and nut milks for about 1 to 3 minutes, but there are ways around that, like using nut butter instead of whole nuts and adding a bit of extra liquid to green smoothies. Good luck everyone :)

Maybe the Vitamix didn't grind the flax seeds as well as the other one because of the wider carafe on the Vitamix motor. I prefer to use a personal size blender to grind seeds. It grinds them perfectly. Interesting comparison video. Definitely want to see the vacuum hack.

I imagine if a brand new container with brand new blades was used on the Vitamix instead of one that is a decade old or older, the results would have been quite different. I know my Vitamix started leaving more unprocessed ingredients the older it got. A new blade assembly brought it back to new. And I hadn’t realized just how dull my old blades were until I compared them to the new ones before I installed it. They wouldn’t have cut me without significant force. The new ones would have cut me on the slightest touch.

The higher RPM allows the blender to do a MUCH better and more complete job. Things like turning nuts or seeds into total powder instead of chunks. Making wonderful smooth dressings and sauces out of nuts and grains. $50 blenders simply can't do it. Well, maybe if you blend for an hour ... The high speed blender does it almost instantly.

For anyone wondering, the flax test has much more to do with the difference between a high-profile low profile container, specifically when grinding dry grains. The low profile container of the vitamix is going to have a harder time agitating the grain that goes into the corners, as well as just having more corner to agitate due to the wider base having a larger perimeter. When it comes to grinding dry grains, the shape of the container makes all the difference in the world, and the standard low-profile vitamix container has not been optimized for dry grain processing..

However NOT the Same in My book.
@nickburak7518
@nickburak7518 6 жыл бұрын
Good points, Dick. Well-made products usually last longer and work better every single time, so the value is there right away, what to speak of keeping America strong as you point out. So while cheap stuff ain't good, and good stuff ain't cheap, people are always willing to be fooled (me included)--rather, let's say "hoping"--that they can get better value from a China product. This one did seem to perform well and if you get three or more years out of it, it may prove a winner...but who knows? Still there may be lead in the materials, what to speak of contributing to the world-wide waste epidemic. Capitalism will guarantee this. Now I don't think that John would have used the Vitamix if he was detecting that the blades had already suffered noticeable degradation...people like John I would assume should have a good sense of their own things after a while...but since he made no mention of it, we shouldn't assume it was comparable.

I really enjoyed this video! Thanks for being real and not being dismissive. I love comparisons of industry leaders to inexpensive options. I have a vitamix that I bought 5 years ago, unfortunately it needs to go back to them for some work (cracked carafe, punctured tamper, faulty speed dial control). I have found that the Ninja has gotten me by though it's not as good as the Vitamix, but a hellalot better than cheap department store crap (I've eaten my fill of blender motors). I've been thinking about getting the Ambiano (sold at Aldi's for around $80) as a back up blender and one to take away from home on cooking demos, classes, trips etc. I like the multi blade system of the Ninja but I still find it doesn't handle small berry seeds as well as the Vitamix. Hope to see you the next time you're passing through the Baltimore-Washington area. Keep up the GOOD work and Cheers to you!

Having purchased this cheap blender (based on this video) and having used it for 2.5 years, I recommend saving up and buying a blender with a jar made from proper materials. The motor on the Nutrimax is fine. However, the jugs just don't last. My second is forming stress cracks and will eventually leak (like the first one did), thus I find myself on YT 2.5 years later looking for a blender review. You're really just creating stress and waste by buying the low-grade blender. Never again for me.

I just want to make a couple of important points. Obviously the Vitamix will last a decade longer. Maybe the container shape, blade style and watts makes a difference when blending for the same amount of time. But if you blended the Vitamix for 10, 20 or 30 seconds longer (depending on the ingredients) you would have had a PERFECT blend. And with no BPA! And good luck with the customer service on the China model, never mind the lame warranty! You get what you pay for. I will happily stick with my Vitamix, air exposure and all! It sure beats processed foods and it tastes incredible! Long live my Vitamix! LOL

For those who require shorter vids due to lower IQ's and less than 1/2 a brain and a small attention span, can either watch other people's vids, play your vids at a faster speed, or simply turn the channel. LOL

All I know is that I literally just blended those same ingredients yesterday in my vitamix and it came out perfectly. He must have a faulty blender

Re: Blend tech - they are great - super powerful and has great push button auto blend for smoothies that go low and high etc. by itself . Nice 👍 Plus they replaced my carraf twice FREE it's was so fast replaced without question- The second one they sent me recently has a totally new kind of bearing set up that will not fail like the old style did. I like it.
