I am not cma, I’m a medical technologist for four years, started in peak Covid. I can confirm in the medical field there is nothing wrong with leaving for a better paying job. I have done it twice already and am finally in a good position. Your loyalty should depend on your company’s loyalty to you and your needs.

I'm in Michigan. The Pay is $18/hr for a small 2 Doctor office. I saw the posting for the postion in a local Facebook group. I was honest and stated that I had not been trained but I did have some experience in the medical field. They said we will train you. Well apparently they didn't notify the girls currently working there of my background. And somehow they were notified that "I came in off the streets and was making the same wage!" I'm doing the same job duties why not. But then the drama started after that was revealed. They became mean, not properly training me for the procedures. Then reporting back to the office manager and Doctor's that I was "standoffish and difficult to work with!" So after 6 weeks the officer manager fired me and stated "I was not progressing fast enough. " It was a total set up by the click of girls who already worked there to get me fired. I would not recommend anyone work for this office. The Doctor's were demanding and would scream at staff. They would talk bad about the patients behind thier backs. It was a hot stinking mess. Absolute horrible management and a waste of my time and good energy.

Wow that is crazy

@@LeshaesTV I just hope they are more honest with the next next person they hire. Once I felt the vibe of the office I already knew it was not a forever job. But I at least wanted to get properly trained so I could transition elsewhere.

I would just say call around when you applying to a job and just see who accepts people with or without a certification . Cause some people probably require one and some people don’t .

Hi good morning, I’m new to your channel I went to medical school back in 2015 but didn’t get certified I got discouraged so I end up going into the warehouse setting I want to go back to the medical field but don’t know what specialty I want to do. What are some advice or some tools do you think I do to still go after that?

I work for a major hospital in the cleaning dept and make 21dls, if I get a CMA job would I have to downgrade my wage just to gain experience?

@@LeshaesTV this detail is making me wonder if I should go for the program. I already got a full scholarship and about to attend my last worskshop so I can choose the program and school. Can I apply to be a phlebotomist when I get my CMA certificate or do I need a specific Phlebotomy training to apply for that position?
@LeshaesTV26 күн бұрын
You need a phlebotomy certification to be a phlebotomist. But hopefully the program you going to can offer you both separately phlebotomist certification and CMA certification .
@miguelfernandes562826 күн бұрын
@@LeshaesTV Gotcha and another fact Im finding out is that with CMA one needs to multitask and be more social since you're around ppl the entire time, where Phlebotomy folks just make the patient calm and draw their blood and move on. I think that is why I enjoy my area of work right now where I am by myself the entire shift and get stuff done on my own. It kinda seems I might be more effective as a Phlebotomist bur still weighing my options for now.
