dealership allowed you to take the truck to a shop to get it inspected before buying?

yes, it was no problem. Also, you can hire a mechanic to go to your truck to perform the inspection. But ideally take it to a trusted shop near the dealership.

@@taccitygoodsco that is what I was thinking, better to take it to a shop to get a full inspection. How did you get them to let you take it the the shop to be inspected prior to purchasing? did you leave a deposit with them? something? have the salesman go to the shop with you? I'm sure they won't just let someone drive it away from their lot without any type of assurance the person won't just drive it away and never come back?

@@GoodVibes24_7 no deposit necessary. Usually they want the same info you would give for test drive, drivers license and maybe insurance. I’ve never been refused and I would probably avoid vehicles that they won’t let me take to have inspected. It’s a pretty reasonable request for an interested buyer. They don’t assume you’ll steal the vehicle and usually have insurance too for covering issues like that, if it comes up. Test it out for yourself. Call dealers and sellers about vehicles and ask if they would let you take it to have it inspected at a nearby shop after you’ve test driven it and see what they say. I just bought a personal vehicle and during the process, the dealer suggested a shop to me to take it to. (I had someone come to the dealer instead due to the distance though)

thats way to much money for that truck. ford are not good box truck you should got a freightliner or international
