Good video, glad to see one for those that may not know what to look for. One thing I'd add on checking the brakes. Look closely at the back sides of the rotors. I've seen more than a few rotors that look "ok" from the visable side, but trashed on the inside. Even seen half the pads changed, again... the side easily seen by anyone. MVP tool I've used, especially for older cars, a small USB snake camera. Lets you check out a lot without removing anything. Second most common I've seen, windshields replaced and done half-assed. Spend a couple bucks and go to a quarter wash. Especially good for sunroofs.

One other thing I would check with the scanner is to see if all of the monitors have been run. If the dealer or person selling the car has cleared any codes or unhooked the battery, the CEL might not come on for something until all of the monitors have been run and completed. Obviously, a hard fault would come back immediately but stuff like O2 sensor monitors, or catalyst monitors may not show a fault until later on after the monitors are completed. Not usually a problem on a vehicle that new but something to definitely check on an older higher mileage vehicle.

Loved the video. Could you make a video or share some insights about torque wrenches? I'm a beginner recreational mechanic, and I've been reading up on torque wrenches. From what I've gathered, it's recommended to have multiple torque wrenches for different tasks-one for lower torque applications and another for higher torque jobs. It seems that a wrench with a wide range, like 20-150 Nm, may not be accurate at the lower end of the scale, hence the need for multiple wrenches. I'd appreciate your thoughts on this and keep up the great videos!!

Hey my friend you really should carry around in the back of your seat or in the back of the truck a big piece of Cardboard to lay on the ground easy to slide around on the ground and keeps you from getting all scraped up from the asphalt plus you can easily discard once dirty. 🔥🥵 😎

The best thing you showed there was where to jack a car up. Many people ruin cars by jacking them up any ole place. Jack leg mechanics do also! A pet peeve of mine! I won’t buy a car that was ever jacked up improperly! I also won’t buy cars that were hitting curbs or driving up onto them with the front bumper.

Great video .Gooloo are another great company .I can't enter as I live in Australia .One other item I would check in an inspection even with low miles , is the battery ,with a young family or anyone .Clip on the battery tester and do a read out ,as you know they can let you down at any time and the can be quite expensive and something that you can't wait and replace it later. All the best ..

I have not finished watching the video yet, but I will say this now, you do the inspection before you buy the vehicle, not after. The dealer will always try to screw you no matter what. Even if there is a supposed is a seven day guarantee.

So funny Carvana... Let's buy a car online from a company that purchases other folks used cars & does nothing NOTHING to the car except increase the price above retail! One born every minute...

Hi, Robert. I have a 2010 ford F150. It has over a 180000 miles. I want to know if you do time chains and replace the cam phasers And how much will it cost? I live in the city of riverside. I can bring the car and leave it with you. But I need to know how much it would cost so I can save the money. The truck currently runs and sounds good. But I think it's time to replace the timing chain and phasers. And the chain guides. And if you can't do it. How much do you think it would cost? I just don't want to get ripped off. And I trust you.

I have a question on this 2022 Honda I noticed on the rear tires there were what seems like a lot of wheel weights on both I didn't notice that on the front but really didn't get as good of a view...is that normal because I have never noticed that many on any of my vehicles like my Vette there's only like 3-4 if that at most... maybe they used smaller weights I don't know...just curious...thanks..love the videos...
