I got a neo with the flymore goggles bundle a week ago, my favourite thing is how well it survives being crashed and how cheap it is. I can really enjoy flying it close to things without worrying. My previous drone (mavic pro) I only felt safe 40m up above the tree tops. The goggles and motion controller are really fun

Just ordered the DJI Neo to replace my Mini 2 that I've broken multiple times flying it in forests and crashing it. I don't mind the quality being a bit worse if it's built like a tank and can do quick shots without getting out the controller.

One of the best features is the audio ability. It’s perfect for my simple little KZbin channel that I keep for friends and family. I can use the microphone on my phone with earbuds and you can talk while it’s following you or in spotlight mode it’s perfect for content creation.

we love ours... just back from a trip back home to Europe. Does what we needed... Out of bag and in the air within 30 seconds. Perfect! Love it :D I also submitted the following to DJI Support as a feature request. Would be good if others could send similar things ;) A couple of Wishlist items. - 15 and 20 meter dronie. - change helix between having subject centre-focused (as it is now) and bottom-focused to take in more of the panorama around us. - change quick shot settings from the drone. Not just phone. - change and save camera settings for quick shots.

I can see the Neo would be the best choice for me. The image quality is enough for me but only thing I would like to see is better low light capability, and that is down to the camera sensor. I would like to take shots at dusk in the mountains, and around the camp fire.

It's a brilliant little drone and already I can see me using much more than my Mavic Pro 3, my Mini 3 Pro and my Hoverair X1. Video quality is not as bad as people seem to make out and as you say, it's about the story and getting shots you could not get as easily with the bigger drones. I got the Fly Motion bundle as I had never tried FPV before and goodness me, it's an awesome experience and I can't wait to have another play but unfortunately we have another storm incoming to the UK so will be at least 3 days before it's in the air again. Love your videos as you seem honest and natural.

For sure! FPV with this is brilliant if you´re a first-timer or a pro! Myself enjoys this more than my Avata 2 as it´s slightly lower pitch and as i mentioned in the video, 1 drone that can do it all! 🙌 Hope it clears out for you bud! Usually the UK weather is coming our way, so im hoping it will at least turn into snow 😂

I agree with you the Neo is a fantastic bit of kit to own especially if you also own something like the Mini 2 or the Mini 4k due to the sub 250g weight when wind is more of a problem and max video quality is needed, the Neo does lose some quality because of the stabilisation, but for social media I was happy with my first test flights :) If anyone is reading and likes the idea of eventually flying it in FPV mode then I managed to save the full price of the FPV controller 3 as I purchased the DJI Neo Flymore Pack with Motion Controller 3 and Goggles N3 the savings buying as a kit meant I could buy the FPV controller for basically free! It is great fun and the ability to use the FPV controller on a PC / FPV flight simulator makes this drone a fantastically cheap entry into the FPV world :)

The neo in in manual mode fpv with goggles and controller 3 is so much fun ! It a great way to learn or practice manual mode without risking my avata 2 . I never even learned on a simulator just used a Neo lol

you can consider the FLIP neo 2. It is a huge step in upgrade: large sensor and 30 minutes flight time is what many people want, but at a much higher price, may be 3 times that of the neo.

It's a good looking little drone. It looks like it should fly sweet, and what I've seen on utube it looks ok. I think I'm going to get Neo for my collection. Mini 4 pro, and Avata 2 is what I've got, the Neo should go well in there with them couple of beauties. Now I need a nice windless day charge all my batteries and get out and into it 🙈🙉🙊

Absolutely love my Neo! You are spot on with this video, you can fly it in every way possible. And now that i also got the Goggles N3, i can finally fly fpv and it's so easy with the motion controller. Even my kids from 9 and 11 are loving it! You don't have to worry about crashing it because the Neo is so durable. I bought it on releaseday and since then my Neo is going everywhere with me. Something i did not do with my other drones. Even the Mini SE did not went everywhere with me. I'm still hoping for a sharpness update when flying the Neo out of your palm. If that option is available, then this drone is perfect for me now. 👌🏽

I bought a Neo just before Xmas when they were available in the UK for just £119. I’ve only flown it a couple of times but it is great fun. I bought it mainly due to its size to fit into my motorcycle tank bag, as my Mini4Pro is just a bit too big to easily take on rides with me. I’ve just bought your LUT’s to hopefully tweak the image a little so thank you for those. Happy new year!🎉

I notice in all the videos on the Neo that the slower the drone moves the better the image quality. I think that's where it is strongest, the preset modes and speed of it. Can you confirm that this is what you also find in your videos? I really want to get one, but the image quality is an issue but if used correctly maybe I can get better video.

High shutter, iso and speed gives bad image for sure. The slower the better and optimal footage only with a controller 👍

I have both Mini 3 and Neo, with the Neo I can get close up shots and more interesting shots which I can't do with the Mini 3, also the safety and the ease of use is one of the feature that I like, unlike with the mini 3 you need to be really careful while flying but with Neo since you have the prop guards it's really worry free, I think having both drones, one with better image quality and one with very versatile functions is a good thing to have.

I have exactly the same setup! They are really complimentary. I just regret that the remote RC1 is not compatible with the Neo. The only reason I mention this, is because the NEO is not ready yet for sports tracking. Tried it on the ski slopes and he cannot keep up, even from far. Sometimes it tracks, sometimes it doesn’t and he loses easily track. It also struggles to adjust the height, ending up flying straight instead of lowering its altitude but sometimes, it does… Needs some serious updates.

I have an Air3S for the cottage but the NEO is for travel combined with an Action 4 Pro Diver pkg. Sure, it's not good in low light, windy or very overcast conditions but other than that, it's really hard to fault this little drone for what it is.

Maybe in a month you'll tell us a different story 😅 Don't get me wrong, I really like this little done and everything you said is kind of right but for image quality. It's just too bad. I gave up hope for some update to improve Neo camera. In manual quickshot mode everyone complains about being too sharp, too much contrast and EV could also turned down a little (-0,3 - 0,7). And even its main feature Quickshots are quite limited. Rocket only 20m, Helix only 10m, Dronie only 10m. Why not give us an option to double distance? Why not a steeper angle with Dronie? Why always only one rotation, why not optionally 2? You don't even get a real full circle as it starts and stops. And afaik DJI hasn't introduced any new quickshot mode for a long time (same on the other drones). E.g. not even a combination e.g. Dronie + Circle or Rocket + Dronie etc. ? Why no option to stack some known modes to be flown one directly following the other at max distance? Seems DJI needs some real competition to not get lazy. Btw. the bad camera is not about 'pixel peeping', just look at your own footage e.g. 4:05. Totally overexposed and thus blown out skies etc. Exposure algorithm is just terrible. I'm sure they could change this by firmware update but ... we'll see.

I´m happy for you bro 🙌 I would go with the Mic 2 Personally, even tho the mic mini is amazing, you have more options with the mic 2 (internal recording and 32bit to mention a few) so it´s a mic you wont be replacing even if you replace your gear! Insted of gopro get dji osmo action. I got action 4 for my trip to london and it was amazing. The bateries fast charge from 0 - 80 in less then 20 minutes. I am deciding about wich drone to get for my first. Curently deciding between dji mini 4k and neo

I love neo, unlike other drones, even with guards, un can fly it virtually any where. Down side it not true drone it heavily dependent on natural light. No night flights, which i do with real drones.

Just be aware that if you’re “palm flying” without phone or controller then you have no control if the drone goes rogue. On my recent holiday of a lifetime, I was doing a palm-initiated flight on a beach to walk along the shoreline. Light offshore wind and all was going fine until half a dozen gulls flew around the Neo which confused it so it lost me. Instead of hovering still, about 3 meters up, it just continued to fly in a straight line, over my head and out to sea. Lost! I watched my lovely Neo travel out to sea, presumably for another 15 minutes or so, until it would have ditched. I was powerless to stop it. No connected phone or RC. It ignored my waving and jumping about. Just flew away! Thankfully I had the DJI insurance, and once back in the UK was able to replace it quickly and easily for about £60. However, the holiday of a lifetime was left droneless. Thankfully my Action 4 and A7C didn’t kill themselves, so there were plenty of other memories captured 😂

I had a less drastic experience with my first flight with the Neo without a controller while performing a Rocket it went up and back down, but I was slightly under it so it stopped lowering and would not come down until the battery level forced a landing. I later tested the Goggles N3 with the Motion Controller 3 and had a strange thing happen with calibration, so turning meant my arms crossed my body to get control. I need to do more tests and maybe firmware will fix some issues and provide new faults :)

With a remote it´s fine, but it´s mainly due to the risk of gusts. I´ve never experienced any issues myself, but also only flown out on a few cliffs

I wish I could find a vid that was created by someone that went out and bought the product so the review is not biased rt from the start. I bought one with my own money. I agree with all the points he has made. If you look at KZbin there are a lot of reviews of the Neo by older and younger uses that have never used a drone before. The Neo is great easy to use selfie drone. First time I am using one this holidays and it’s a lot of fun.
