Watch this BEFORE buying the Sony WH1000XM5 (vs XM4 vs XM3)

Hi my friend I have a Sony WH1000XM3 and I find that the arc puts a lot of pressure on me.do you know if the M4 and M5 have a similar pressure to the M3,is it more,is it less? Regards

XM4 is the exact same physical dimensions. XM5 may be a bit more comfortable bc it's headband is slightly wider. However, you'd really need to try it on to know for sure

Like your video that it's straight to the point! I tried putting xm5 on and feel the same about the headband, not sure if it's just me -,- the top of the headband is pressing on my head which i guess won't be nice if wear for long. I'm thinking to grab xm4, just wondering, do you feel any ear pressure, or cabin pressure they called, for xm3/4/5? I tried airpod pro and the pressure is a deal braker for me, big no, very uncomfortable once ANC turned on..

Yeah the XM5 band is a bit less comfortable because of its thinner design. I do feel slight cabin pressure with XM3s. I believe that's a side effect of all closed back over the ear headphones though

Ive been using my xm3's for years now as well. I actually use mine for my pc as just general use headphones. and for gaming. A much but sound signature than pretty much any "gaming" headsets ive tried, granted it doesnt have as good of a sound stage. But im not a esport pro or anything. I far prefer my xm3's for there comfort and sound quality.

I love my XM3s. Definitely better than nearly all gaming headsets. I use a pair of AKG K240s for gaming. I never liked the bassy and low quality sound coming out of any Astros or Hyperx headphones I used

Just bought and awaiting delivery today of 1000x4 for £202 . I dont like the design on 5th and hate not fold. I still have in very good condition 1000x2 , so the 4th generation im sure will notice a bigger difference.

Till this day i can't understand why newer models of various items get downgraded. With the technological advances we have now. Things should only be upgraded. 😌

I'm sure there's some reason behind it but I definitely agree. They improve in some areas while downgrading others

I like the folding but it is not essential, just like the airpod max, but i would like the same type of minimalist case like the airpod maxes. I keep having the impression that those cups are still a bit narrow !!

The AirPods Max definitely have a more minimalist design! Earcups are pretty subjective but I've found them to be fairly roomy

This is an odd review. The design is better and there are by far more features with the XM5's. Sony's 360 audio now is encoded into select content directly to make best use of the hardware best. You just need to listen to it on content made for this specifically otherwise it's just constant tinkering and no way to switch on the fly with the music. The reviewer mentions he only uses some of the settings with this so odd to harp on this.

360 Audio probably isn't important for many people buying these headphones because it's only available on a few apps, none of which are Spotify or Apple Music. Apps that do feature it only have select songs that are 360 audio. It's also been around since the XM3s so really nothing new
