Las Condes is the most beautiful neighborhood I've visited in South America so far. So glad my stay was mostly there.

What you said about having the right paper to get in is very true. I am a Norwegian guy who has family in chile ( my fathers half) and we were stuck in São Paulo in Brasil. We barely got in and I even have family there and a passport that is one of the world best for traveling, so do your research of what papers you need.
@GabrielAmedee2 жыл бұрын
I’m shocked you got in! I had a family member calling for me at the airport and they still sent me back to the states over the mobility pass. I have a separate video on this would highly appreciate you share it to anyone you know who may visit, thank you again for sharing your experience 🙏🏽

@@GabrielAmedee yes, i had family in chile Who was driving all around Santiago 9 hours to speak to differanse people and the goverment to get us in. We wouldn’t get sent back to Norway tho, we could stay in Brasil, but that wasn’t the plan, so we were lucky

How difficult is it to relocate from US to Santiago?
@gordonmiller6691 Жыл бұрын
I'm very interested in Chile. I'm looking for lower cost retirement options outside of USA with a climate similar to California. I looked around at Vina del Mar and Mirasol while playing with Google Earth. Those places look super cool.
@RICleanCities Жыл бұрын
Chile is a great country. I just visited from California and actually noticed many similarities with the Western US in terms of landscapes, friendly vibe, decent economy, and modern infrastructure (from a US perspective) it seemed prices for goods, food, and services are not as expensive as California but more in line with non-coastal US areas which was somewhat higher than what I would have expected.

Hello I’m going there in may I just wanted to know where do you go to get the mobility and affidavit and which travel insurance is best to get? Hope you can help thank you!
@GabrielAmedee2 жыл бұрын
Mobility & Affidavit (C19) are on same site, just updated on the description. I use American Express Travel Insurance so you can itemize the only perks you need for the most frugal quote.
Check out this video for all the requirements needed.

How is Chile different from Ecuador?. I’m thinking about retiring somewhere in South America. Is Santiago a better place to live than Cuenca, Ecuador?.

I’m living in independencia xddd, maybe you were in a awful place, I live in a peaceful neighborhood and is pretty safe, you should go to the south, Santiago is awful and hot as fuck
@GabrielAmedee2 жыл бұрын
Independencia definitely wasn't awful in any way, apologies if my tone gave that impression. I visited a friend that lives there a few times. I just made an observation that it was relatively less lit up at night than other areas I had been to. I have another video in the coast where I enjoyed my time there more than Santiago. I must say though, if you are traveling solo and want to find companions, passing by Santiago is a MUST. I saw mostly famiilies in Algarrobbo & Vina and some young adults in Valparaiso but nothing like the packed bars and streets of Bellavista in Santiago.
