I now use a newer product that has the sugar we need already in the bleach it can get you up to a level 9 in one process depending on the virgin hair you have. @@Blubster2013 I like Ion Bright White Creme Lightener and Salon Care Quick White. Both are pretty gentle for me (may sting a bit for the first few minutes but after that I basically feel nothing) and both really do lighten up to 8 levels. You can get them at Sally's.

It depends on the texture of your natural hair. Bleach will loosen and stretch your curl pattern as much as your hair will allow, but sometimes it won't make it completely straight. If you want it straight, you'll most likely have to go to a salon and have a professional do that for you. It's a solution that they will have to put in your hair to make it completely straight. Hope this helps
