This takes me back a few years, I used to have the Worx version. If you have no power and water they are better than not having one but I wouldn’t bother with foam at all just a spray pre-wash saving battery and water for just rinsing. I found one battery on the Worxs lasted just long enough to pre-rinse, rinse off pre wash and rinse off shampoo. I kept a spare battery so there was always one fully charged. This one looks a good package 👍🏼

Hi Nick, I agree. I used a Worx Hydroshot with fast charging and bigger battery pack, but even the strongest Hydroshot I had, wasn’t that strong than this one, and it was surprised me during use. The package and features are much greater, the only feature I wish it would have is fast charging option. However, that costs a lot more money. Worx offers that option, although not everyone willing to pay the extra money for that feature itself. Optimal use would be the one you mentioned, pre-wash with a sprayable product, then rinse, contact wash and rinse off again. I lived in an apartment for a while and this kind of pressure washer was the only option. Good to see this market improves. Thanks for your comment Nick, I appreciate it 🙏

@@RoadToDetailing My Fixnow 500E arrived yesterday. I just used it today and it got the job done. My workshop has a 40ft ridge roof with solar panels running all the way from front to back, on each slope. There was a lot of algae build up on some of the panels and all had bird crap and dirt buildup on them. Well, I used the pressure washer on full power and managed to get all the panels clean in 17 minutes and still had an extra bar of power left in the battery. It took about five buckets of water. Each bucket full gets used up in about 3 minutes. I did leave four buckets of water on the roof before I started, so only had to climb down once more to get another bucket full. So I must say I am very impressed by this cordless pressure washer. It would have been a logistical nightmare to try and use a normal plug in pressure washer with all the hosing and cabling up on that roof ridge. I paid £80 for mine, so it’s definitely worth it in my case.

I would personally say the Greenworks GDC40 is one of the best battery powered washers, 70 bar of pressure and both the unit and batteries are higher quality than the Worx unit I had before. It is rather expensive though as the unit from new doesn't come with batteries or a charger, and technically it's bulky - although probably not when you compare a Worx + additional bucket vs the fact the bucket on the Greenworks is built in. I also wonder why Worx does not sell the WG649 (40v via dual 20v batteries) outside of North America?
@RoadToDetailing3 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, The Greenworks GDC40 indeed a great option. The only downside of that for me is the price as well. Even though the $150-250 range is already pricey (but it depends on the individual’s budget of course) paying around the same amount for the battery on top of the price of the main unit equals with a bigger amount of money. However, you get at least double if not more powerful machine in exchange. About the size, you are absolutely right. When I purchased my WG630E I was looking for the option of buying the WG649, but no one in the EU sold that unfortunately and it hasn’t been changed still, so the most powerful Worx Hydroshot in the EU available is the WG630E at the moment. It probably has to do something with regulations in my opinion.
@markhands11033 жыл бұрын
@@RoadToDetailing Yeah I think it's to do with regulation too, which is strange considering 40v batteries are available in Europe. Definitely a downside of Greenworks is the cost as you say, easy to spend circa $350 for the unit, charger and battery which is crazy when you consider that's more expensive than a good mains powered pressure washer. I was lucky that I found a GW unit with charger and battery for £125 second hand on eBay.
@RoadToDetailing3 жыл бұрын
Exactly, that’s my main concern, anything above $250ish for a portable machine is very expensive, but obviously portability costs the most here we pay for. It’s always our circumstances which determine the options we can have not what we can want 😊 That price was a real bargain for the Greenworks, you did a great purchase with that for sure. 🔥

what is the PSI. it's the only thing that really matters, I can clean tyres by nipping a hose pipe,
@RoadToDetailing Жыл бұрын
On paper, the company claims PSI between 300-650, that depends on the setting and the nozzle angle. I would say is about 3-400PSI power in there. I would say, the efficiency of cleaning any part of the car is mainly about the chemicals and methods you choose, rather than the pressure washer itself. Although, the power of the jetwash can help a lot, especially of saving time with a stronger water flow (if needed). We can clean a car without using a power washer at all, fact. The question is what chemicals, methods and accessories we choose. Thanks for watching 🙌
@pigeonpoo1823 Жыл бұрын
At 9.40 time stamp it says 510. This is pretty impressive as my basic Worx Hydroshot claims about 350 and the powerful one claims 56 bar (800psi) which is pretty mega. Tbh, I get by with it but being a man I always want more power!
@RoadToDetailing Жыл бұрын
You are right. I felt this more powerful than the Worx Hydroshot 630, but bare that in mind, the Fixnow 500E works in a “dynamic” range of pressure and not as consistent as the Hydroshot in my experience. Also, Fixnow doesn’t the most transparent about the technical data, so I founded different information on their webpage and resellers data sheets. So while I founded data between 300 and 650 PSI, also it very much depends on which power setting being used, as well the Battery percentage has huge influence on the power, this machine worx approx 3-400PSI at around 8-10 minutes. And yes, it’s more powerful than a Hydroshot, but like I said, the hydroshot is more consistent in my opinion. Greenworks has a great alternative in this category, yet we are talking about over $400 in price, that is double than either fixnow or hydroshot.
@pigeonpoo1823 Жыл бұрын
@@RoadToDetailing that's good to know. I have been impressed by the worx. It's taken 3yrs and the battery finally died (easy to find a replacement). That's the only issue I've had. Would I get the same with these unknown smaller brands? Maybe, but it's not a risk worth taking
@RoadToDetailing Жыл бұрын
The only reason I would take Worx over Fixnow is the features below that worx has while Fixnow hasn’t: - Fast charging (with the right charger module) - Optional choose of battery capacity between 2/4 AH Fixnow doesn’t offer a fast charger, not even for extra money, nor has a 4aH battery. And for my washing regime, it’s a deal breaker. Obviously, worx only offer this on the more expensive models, but at least: you have the options. Fixnow has 8-18 mins run time, and 4 hours charging time, worx hydroshot with 4AH has 40-45 mins running time and 40-45mins recharging.

Any idea what connection adaptor this uses? I would prefer to use a quick connect lance, not sure if is their own connection or a popular connection type.
@RoadToDetailing2 жыл бұрын
Hey sykesybwoy. Unfortunately they use their very own 😔 Meaning you can’t really differ from the original connection. Furthermore, the quick connection type can’t be an option here. Because, it needs a “longer” lance type of connection that can help build more pressure for the water. Also, it needs the body, which has the main components built in (motor, etc.). Greenworks GDC40 might be a better alternative in this category in regards for different kind of connection, but I personally haven’t try that, so take this with a grain of salt. PS: if you meant the connection between the lance and body, or foam bottle and body. That is very similar to the karcher adapter, but it’s smaller and I’m sure it’s not compatible, but the shape is very similar. Hope this helps either way 🙌 Viktor
@sykesybwoy2 жыл бұрын
@@RoadToDetailing pretty much exactly what I was referring to, which is a shame to have all that power in a cordless washer and be limited to weaker proprietary accessories. This was pushing my budget, Greenworks isn’t a option ☺️
@RoadToDetailing2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, greenworks is quite pricey, unfortunately. It sort of makes sense to them to stock with their own type of connection, hence the engineering of the device to be able to put out some strength. If you thinking only cordless, worx hydroshot offers a quick type connection at the very and of their short or long lance. But in my experience, you need a longer lance to be able to get decent enough pressure out of the device. I have a full review about a Worx Hydroshot, which you can find on the channel, and you can see, I only use that for a quick release kind foam lance to have a snow foam applied by that. Other than that, not much of a use I could fins of its quick release connection. Do you need to be fully cordless? Karcher K4 works from a bucket or standing water source. But if you don’t have power, then this not an option either. Although if you have, then it will work fine from a bucket of water and you can use a quick release system by that.
@sykesybwoy2 жыл бұрын
@@RoadToDetailing yes, I had watched that Hydroshot video before watching this one. I live in an apartment with no external access to water or electricity so has to be cordless. This Fixnow would’ve been the perfect alternative to the Hydroshot WG649 which isn’t available in Europe, relatively similar pressure and I presume battery life. I’m not sure I agree it making sense the connections being their own to make maximum power. I would assume it’s the motor and amount of voltage being delivered to it that makes it able to create the pressure, rather than the lance connection. If you think of the Karcher corded range the K2 is less powerful than the K7, but they use the same lance connection. As they sent you the unit for review, you clearly have a contact there. Is it possible to ask them whether it can use 3rd Party accessories? Ideally like you’re using the Hydroshot for Foam, I’d like better Foam from the 500E by using a 3rd Party Foam Cannon…
@RoadToDetailing2 жыл бұрын
Yes, sure, I will ask them for you. One thing to note here. The Worx WG630.E (what I’ve used and tested) is available in Europe and has close to the same power as the Fixnow E500, and available with 4.0mAH battery, which can give you 45 mins running time, and comes with a quick charger that able to recharge the battery in 45 mins which is ACE. One thing I didn’t like and I mentioned this, is the battery power, that lasts 8 minutes in strong, plus 8-10 mins medium settings, that leads 8+10 minutes in different settings. And recharges in 4 hours. So the battery power of the Fixnow 500E isn’t that great, which is very important in case of a cordless. The worx offers a 2.0mAH battery, without quick charger, and thats sort of the same: 20mins running time, 4 hrs charging. And I personally think: 4.0mAH battery and quick charger is worth every penny in the long runny, believe me. 😊 What I meant when said the lance can increase the pressure is that, like it helps to give that “little bit of extra” compared to a shorter lance for example. 😉 But I do agree with the strength of the motor you’re saying. Pop a DM on instagram @roadtodetailing, and I will get back to you as soon as I receive an answer. Or I can give you their email address where they give answers fairly quick. Whichever you prefer. But once again, the battery power doesn’t really satisfying in my opinion. It is very very average. While Worx Hydroshot at least offers the opportunity to longer lasting battery and fast charging (but for extra).
