i had a deluxe sample of the bobbi brown vitamin enriched face base sitting in my drawer for a year as i was finishing up a bunch of older primers. finally decided i was going to open it at the beginning of the year, and i fell in love. nothing, absolutely nothing, has ever made makeup look so good on me. my skin is normal-dry but i have texture issues (& hollow, dark undereyes). i was just stunned & totally understood the hype. i’ve had to force myself to use up the rest of my primers this year, with the bb face base on my wishlist to buy during the holiday sales. i’m almost done with the others & can’t wait to have that back.

I feel like you might enjoy the Mac studio radience primer, I get similar results to the bobbi brown with it but a bit more glowy and less thick and lux feeling.

I honestly prefer the Power Grip primer over the Jelly Pop. I also like to get the minis of powergrip because the shelf life is so short??? It says only 3 months on my tube of the original but 12 months on the niacinamide infused one 😮

Great video! I’m just surprised to see Hard Candy, so Walmart appearing everywhere lately while the Hard Candy products are more and more disappearing from the Walmart stores, strange…

In the WalMart near me that has the largest makeup dept., all Hard Candy products disappeared for a couple of weeks while a larger display space was created. I'm in Southern California, so I imagine this is a top tier sales area; maybe these space allotment decisions are made at a regional level?

@@MyCleverHandle I personally never go to Walmart because it is a little far from me and honestly, I don’t like it, I order sometimes (rarely) from Walmart, but I heard a lot of people complaining that Hard Candy was never in their Walmart. So yes, maybe each store does its own decision? I am just surprised by this Hard Candy obvious new advertising campaign while they are not especially the kind of products that we are craving to have and waiting for. I don’t understand their strategy, maybe am I missing something? I only have two Hard Candy products so far, they are just ok, but both had their packaging breaking right away even though I am a very careful person with my products. So I am not a super fan of their brand.

I have combo skin and for my oily area, I think the Colleen Rothchild Black Tourmaline primer. It has charcoal in it and it is excellent. I also love Lancome La Base and Makeup Forever. I use the pore minimizer one.

My question is always about the effect of some primers over sunscreen. It is definitely a no-no to apply a moisturizer over a sunscreen. It will break down the sunscreen. I find it bothering when influencers advise people to apply these types of products over their sunscreen when we know UV damage is the #1 reason for premature skin aging and sunscreen should always take precedence. It would be terrific if influencers would show concern for their viewers and encourage protecting the skin. Beautiful skin needs less makeup.
