Lol... I saw Xtool and immediately thought what the heck is Stephen doing with a laser cutter..😂. The I realized it was the scanner not the lasercutter.

I have the xtool D8.. It has 98% all the same stuff as your pro version... I've seen them under five hundred on sales.. I bought mine a few years ago, when it was still over seven hundred. Pretty great tool. Xtool is really good at fixing bugs within a week. If you have an issue or a glitch that shouldn't be there.. just take the time to report it and they will often have it fixed and put out an update for it within a week. Pretty aweome.

They can't even fix my issue with my d5s they won't even let me get a refund or return the tool. It doesn't allow me to register the device. I've been going back and forth with them for a week. Once they allow me to send it back, I will never buy a Xtool again. I'll go elsewhere with my money. Unfortunately, my experience has been horrible with them for my first tool with them.

For the cost of the updates you’re better off just buying a new scan tool it’s been that way since the old Mac Mentor

The D5S has lifetime updates so you can update it for free. The IP919pro comes with 3 years free updates. After 3 years the updates cone at a yearly cost.

Don’t be fooled. I purchased this because it claims it can do so much with BMW’s. Wrong-O, E46, F30, and so on can not do any of the things like coding and even scanning and the trouble shooting all fail. Tech support is a joke. Go with X431 or even Autel.

Good to know. Sorry that it didn't do BMW very well. The launch people mini I had did an awesome job on my BMW.
