What a pleasant surprise stumbling on a video you worked on rob!! Did a double take when the video started! I finished 2 a couple years ago and only now beat 1 and desperately needed a recap of what I've played. Amazing work as always, I've gone through a couple summary videos by now and this by far is the most clearest and easy to understand, especially given how complex the lore and backstory can get. Keep up the great work, always a good time seeing your work.

I had no idea both games took place at the same time. I always presume that the first game took place first which is why I thought half of Claus body was gone which was a result of being killed by Shulk already. Thanks for that clear up.

this response is to the chart at the start of the video. i saw a theory that Shulk and co alongside Rex and co are still alive just that through Z and origin shenanigans were just not in Aionios, XC 3 probably wasnt that long after 1 and 2 and our original heroes are probably alive after XC 3's conclusion. but nonetheless this was a really nice recap of the first two games

I only just got 3 since it took a month to ship. I have always been curious about the series since I knew the 1st game the titans were large enough to be continents to other creatures but knew nothing of 2. I'm now wracking my brain thinking how 3 could be related to this since 1 and 2 were related by a split so with what I know so far in 3 I'm curious why life clocks are so important.

Although I understand why you simplified it to just Torna - Pyra was created because Mythra caused the death of Milton with her actions, a child who had been traveling with her and Addam, not because she destroyed Torna. The mere thought that he was dead after an attack by Malos was what made her activate Pneuma's powers which is what led to Torna's destruction, then seeing him dead is what triggered Pyra.

Thank you for the recap. I played 1 and 2 and loved them. Of course I bought 3 directly when it came out and played through it. My problem is that I didn't like it. Maybe your story recap can help me think better about Xenoblade 3. Time to watch a Xeno 3 story video. Maybe I didn't get it. I don't know... 3 was so flat and boring compared to 1 and 2.
