Definitely turned out better than expected for a first try! I wrapped a desk I built with carbon fiber wrap and got the same issues with the edges as you had on the mirrors..

I use that same heat gun for wiring heat shrink, removing headlight lenses, etc. I have a buddy who likes to wrap for fun and said he could wrap my '99 GSX

@Miguel Dsm Yeah mine has that terrible clear coat failure that some call DSM melanoma. If repainting I would go OEM but for wrap I would do something different. Great job first time for you!

That’s the way I see it. Oem color for paint. Try something else with a wrap

One thing to note for the future is you can make a slip solution out of a few drops of baby soap and water. That way when you’re using the squeegee it glides instead of getting stuck. Great job man!

I've wrapped a car 3 times and yes it's a tedious process that takes time and patience. I've had to rewrap panels a few times and it sucks but worth it in the end. Looks good man, if you have to rewrap the fender, see if you can locate some legit JDM fenders first and wrap them so you're not doing it again down the road... All it needs now is lowered on rims... looks wayyy better.. On the intro I thought you did purple and was like Noooooooo 🤦

@@MiguelDsm JDM fenders have factory side marker holes, if you're lucky you can get the factory side markers... Some ppl cut their own holes but JDM ones are the way to go imo

Removing everything is key also patience 😅. It took me like 34 hours total to wrap ny sti and 10 hrs to remove lol. But good job nonetheless. Would recommend doing it inside the garage. Love the color choice. Still trying to decide what color!

Garage and removing a bunch of trims would make things so much cleaner and easier. Go with anything as long as it’s not gold or shifts colors lol

Ive wrapped my Evo 9 twice. Doesn’t get any easier by yourself. Prep and taking trim off is time consuming and those bumpers and wing are a pita to wrap. But I do get compliments on the wrap A LOT lmao.

Also never drop the wrap on the floor. It becomes a magnet for dust. I know by experience haha. Second time I wet the floor to keep the dust down.

Wrapping ain't easy by any means. It's a process of doing it over and over with some help to make it easier for all of you. Color is nice pick though! And for a first wrap job, I think it came out pretty darn well.

I actually got offered a job to wrap and I went for it, still getting training but definitely a case of "NOT AS EASY AS IT SEEMS" but it's still a cool job but definitely has its major cons

Piece of advice, when applying the vinyl, don't put too much tension because once you cut the excess, the wrap will eventually peel out itself, which "tape primer" comes in handy for these occasion. Just as a rule of thumb don't put too much tension.

There is a WRAP scam out there. A guy stole my car. He had bad checks from the wrap company. Let me buy your car and make it a beautiful wrap. He has a check from the wrap store. It's a SCAM. They steal your DSM and don't pay you for the nice car.
