We know a lot of factual knowledge about the starling, its size and voice, where it lives, how it breeds and migrates however, what remains a mystery is how it flies in murmurations, or flocks, without crashing.
This short film by Saeed (myself) was shot in Downtown Toronto on the 13th of October 2020, and it captures the birds gathering at dusk, just about to begin their amazing performance.
