Jessica, If there is breath in your lungs there is still hope. The Bible says God sent his son into the world to save us while we were still sinners, while we hated him he still sent Jesus into the world to be a sacrifice for our sins and bring us back into fellowship with the father. God is a God of restoration. No matter what you have done he can forgive and restore you. You have but to come to him. The door is open and he is inviting you in. You wouldn’t be asking the question if it were not the Holy Spirit drawing you back to God. Repent and return to him and let his work of restoration bring you to life. Be blessed my sister.

There is always the goat and sheep within you metaphorically. So even if you were a goat, there's always still the sheep there, just as the sun is always behind the clouds or appears after the darkest winter nights when spring and summer comes back. The possibility is always there. And how people turned that around is they wholeheartedly began looking at their thoughts and asking for help and praying in however they may pray with whatever names they resonate with when it comes to God (higher power, Allah, creator, etc.) or without a name at all, just with even an internal (or external) screaming, or a will, an indomitable will in a vaccume of numb silence or nothing. There may be smelly, fetid goaty times where one walks "in the valley of the shadow of death", and we "take a look at our minds and realize there's nothing left". That can be just temporary and is because there's always the guidance home within us, always the sheep, always the Shepard, always the star, the way, the light, leading the wisdom within us to that.
