I used to pull every 160 primos until I was struck by a qiqi on a character I really wanted so I waited till I saw a character that caught my eye at the time it was yoimiya i was able to save 240 pulls before yoimiya I did end up liking Ayaka instead but saving and skipping certain characters + becoming picky improved my gameplay by a lot and made the game more enjoyable I felt a strong sense of self control and now that I can save I skip a lot of characters and only pull for who I truly like it feels powerful 👁

As someone who saved up for 8 months for Ganyu's rerun banner, I can tell you that while saving is incredibly painful, it feels so worthwile to finally see all your hard work and effort pay off. Plus, I've never run out of primogems since I started saving, because I accumulated so much, now I always have a reserve fund for any character that I decide I just REALLY NEED. Just don't spend your primos on every single banner and save for the characters you really want-- trust me, it's worth it in the long run.

The only tips that worked for me: - Have a GOAL to collect which specific characters you really like. Always imagine the worst scenarios when you couldn't get them in the future. - actually saving primos is hard only at the first week. The urge to spend your primos is still high. But, as time goes by when you have a really big amount of primogems, you will get addicted to save for more and satisfied just by looking at your primogems. - Go to video like this for reminder to yourself 🤣

I’m a hardcore primo saver since launch day. The best thing to do is definitely convert primos to fates. It really shows you how much you have and can restrain you from pulling. I only pull when I have enough to guarantee a c6 r1. This is how I got c6 r4 raiden for 100 bucks. Raiden was my first limited banner pull. My next one in is yelan, and with 800 fates saved so far I am almost guaranteed to get her c6 r1 for again 100 dollars. I sacrifice collecting five stars to have only a few five stars that are max con. And I am no whale. You can definitely c6 without being a whale. Just pull once a year like me.

C6 Raiden could easily get you through the abyss with a good build and 4 star supports. I assume they use any free blue fates on the standard banner so they’d be getting any 4 stars and standard banner 5 stars. No trouble getting through the abyss.

If you are saving for a character something I've found that helps is looking at what makes you want that character, for example for a time I really wanted Kazuha but was having trouble saving up for him so since the thing I liked about his character is his gameplay I looked at videos of Kazuha mains and watched his trailer and demo. It also works if you want a character but just can't find the motivation to grind primogems for them.

I used to love the conversion to fates idea...until I somehow pressed the 10-pull button on my phone hard enough for it to register, and I had never been more thankful to lose the 50/50. My only issue with converting them into fates is because there's never a warning or whatever before you hit the single pull or 10-pull button. I'm saving for C1 Kazuha or Klee. I skipped Klee's rerun for Kazuha, not to mention I started playing after her banner, so I'm pretty torn. But I'm at 50/50 and doing whatever I can to save. Also: subscribed! This video is great!

This is how I did it: 1. Collect primogems first. So do daily commissions, and whatever event that gives primogems. 2. Convert all your primogems into intertwined fates. Sometimes you go to fetch something in inventory, and you suddenly spot your primos. So you'd feel tempted to spend them. 3. Next spend your resin. Then do any other thing (Farming in open world, fishing, teapot) 4. The moment you still feel tempted log off immediately. Don't have any second thoughts. 5. For whatever you want to save for in the future, use the Internet to remind you that that's exactly what you're going for. So if I said I want Eula on her rerun, keep watching Eula videos. Keep searching Eula summons. AND AVOID WATCHING VIDEOS OF THE CURRENT BANNER YOU'RE TRYING TO AVOID 6. This is obvious, but NEVER go on wish. Stare at the banners for 5 seconds and then you find yo self wishing. Just don't go on there at all. When I create reroll accounts, I use the Asian servers. Remember, Asian servers have earlier updates, which means that banners end earlier. There's always a time when there's no event banner in sight to wish on. Take that time to farm as many primogems you can.

Another thing that may effect your primos. The star glitter shop. Remember, character will ALWAYS come back to the shop eventually, and you can get them other ways, via banners or events like the lantern rite. Don’t pull just to get star glitter. I know this is especially tempting for starter mains since getting cons for Kaeya, Amber and Lisa is a goddamn nightmare, but, take a deep breath and just keep waiting. Also remember to upgrade the Sakura tree, the frostbearing tree, the lumestone and ascend characters to get standard fates, that way, you can get star glitter without effing up your pity, and you might even just pull one of them. Starter mains together

A tip for the dendro archon: all of the current archons follow a book pattern: they only use the wednesday/saturday books. So, its most likely that kusanali would use the sumeru wed/sat books :)

I needed this intervention 😂 I used to wish with any fates I got. It's a nasty addiction to shake sometimes! I want to save my primos until a banner I want comes, example being Zhongli. Since he just had one recently(which I missed sadly), I have a crap ton of time to save primos. It's hard to not spend your primos, but must push on and save 😤

I really wanted Xingqiu so I just pulled and pulled waiting for him to come home, instead I got ganyu, my first limited 5* I didn’t know many characters so I just went with it. Me who is currently saving for Xiao and having 15.000 primogems aswell as 60 pity I agree to it 100%. It is in fact really hard to not spend your primogems on banners but the happiness that u get after saving such a long time and finally get the character you want since the start of genshin is so life changing. I’ve been a person who saves pretty much since I started the game, which at the time was mostly just because I had no strong desire for the banner 5 stars (Xiao and Shenhe, then Ganyu and Zhongli). I did do 50ish wishes on Xiao because I was just starting out and I needed to build a solid four star roster and 20ish wishes on Ganyu because despite the fact that I really, really did not want Ganyu all the four stars were fantastic and I wanted at least one of them so I could get the one I didn’t get from lantern rite. I was lucky enough to pull Xingqiu and not destroy my pity with a Ganyu, and from there I just saved because I at some arbitrary point in time decided I really wanted Venti and I was going to save primos until Venti’s rerun. This resulted in me not getting a single 5 star on my account until Mona came home at a whole 88 pity on standard several months later a couple weeks before the Venti rerun, but it was well worth it. It’s been really helpful to be a saver from the start because I haven’t fallen into that mentality of “wish for every 160” and I’ve gotten quite used to having at least a couple thousand primos on hand at all times. I have to say though, for someone saving, the standard banner is a godsend. Each ten pull I can save up in blue fates is always far more exciting and rewarding than any primos I may get, and it really lets you appreciate wishing a lot more. Plus, this way you don’t have to leave things up to chance and you can rest assured that the next time a 5 star you really want runs, you can get them. It’s very rewarding to finally spend all those primos and get the character you want without having any worries If you lose the 50/50; I lost my Venti 50/50 to Mona, but that was fine because I got a bunch of excellent stuff off that banner and a Venti to boot.

ayato's my favourite character in genshin, but at the time of his release, i was still in the middle of the liyue arc and knew i wouldn't be able to do much with him till i got to inazuma. so i made the decision to go for venti instead (won his 50/50) but now i feel really sad because i don't have ayato lmao. venti's a great unit, i love the heck out of that guy, he's even become my emotional support character so my main team is rarely ever without him. but gdi now saving for ayato whenever he has his rerun (god knows when :']) and i'm tempted to pull for other characters in the limited banners... i feel like losing my mind lmao

hey! no worries! i feel your pain about not getting ayato. even if i've done every single archon quest and i've fully maxed inazuma, i pulled for venti too, and won the 50/50! even i'm sad about not getting ayato. but, remember itto? his banner was up very soon from now. of course. he's a new character, and the pattern with MiHoYo likely hints that itto's rerun banner will be up soon, since he's new, and most new characters get reruns soon from their release. alas, ayato's rerun will probably be soon in time, so don't stress. you have a chance to get him still if you win the 50/50! also, i get that you want others characters, as well as ayato. listen up, you've still got time, and every character will have their rerun at some point, so your wish will someday be fulfilled!

I love Venti, he is great and I’m glad you got him but even if you don’t have the things necessary for Ayato it wouldn’t have hurt to pull for him and ascend him later on. My friend also got him in the middle of the Liyue arc and in just a week she made it to Inazuma. Normally I don’t recommend going for inazuman characters unless you have inazuma unlocked but if it’s your favorite characters then just do it. Ayato will not be completely useless, he will be your emotional support. Wishing you all the luck for his rerun though!!

I'm someone who's a big money saver by nature, so saving up isnt too painful to me but i gotta admit that saving up is a bit easier than having to START saving, when you're at a whopping 50 primos. It's always the beginning. I think i have spent for only 5 welkins since launch and nothing more, and the most ive ever gathered was 135 fates for Childe's first rerun, because that was how BADLY i wanted him lol as of now, my pockets are holding up 108 fates for Yelan, with 75 of those being leftovers from the ayato pulls i had (he came home at 81 pity after 30 pulls yep) Tbh, saving makes you less exhausted than having to grind everything for the current banner cuz you dont know if you'll get em before they leave; i experienced more stress having to push through to get venti on my alt (my alt acount where, in this case, i do NOT care for saving) than i did on my main.

Hlo need help! i am thnking of rerolling bec i feel like i wasted primogems. i started playing around a week ago. i am ar 32 right now. i have done around 35 pulls in standard banner and got xingqiu and fischl who are in my main team. I have done around 40 wishes on event banner but didn't realize that the 4 stars there were "bad" for me bec i am a newbie and didn't check the event properly. i am spent around 8k primogems and the only good one i got from is xingiu. I am just sitting on tons of 4 star characters right now. should i stay or reroll and save better this time? the thing is i kind of dont want to reroll bec this 7 days have been a grind.

@@lostphoenix2674 I think you have great characters. Kaeya, Diona, Xingqiu, and Xiangling would work nicely together, you can switch diona out with barbara if you want. I think unless theres a character you really want, save your primos no matter what. Xiangling and Xingqiu and both really good characters

Thank for the tips! I'm a new player and lost my 50/50 on Zhongli's banner early, I went beast mode and managed to get him on the second try with hard pity. Now I'm craving to have Raiden Shogun and Kaedehara Kazuha bc I loved thei game style. After them I might just try and save for Itto, loved his special mission and he is the one I will most likelly have to save for months. Wish me luck on Ei's and Kazuha's banner!

Another tip is that the longer you save and stop wishing out of general temptation, the easier it gets. It also helps to just almost never look at how many primos you have, unless you go to the shop to see how many wishes you would get out of it and then exit out. And if you have everything you need for an upcoming character banner (level books, talent books, materials, etc), then try and play for the least amount of time you can every day for daily stuff (resin, commissions, events, etc), unless you want to mess around with game physics.

The worst part is that I love all of them :D but I really badly wanted Xiao... The minute I got him and actually lvled him up and all and tried him I just ended up with him just not being used since then... I did love him and I did like to play him in those trials but he's so hard to play and all that I only keep him for like traveling or something like that... Never get in fights with him again... So I'm happy I'm actually pulling for almost all of them because at least I got some playable for me... What helps me is writing my goals down. I have a month whiteboard where I write down birthdays, tests, appointments, etc. but next to the squares with dates there is some extra space. I write details of appointments there, but I also made a little square with "Current GI goals", where I write down the character(s) I want in colourful markers, so every time I look at the planner, I see my goals

I've personally never had the trouble of not having primos saved up for any limited 5-star that I wanted to pull. and it is mainly because I've come to terms with the fact that I won't ever have every character, and that's fine. I spend so much time building and farming for the characters I like and already have, mostly 4 stars, that by the time a 5star that I like comes up, I always have enough for a guaranteed. My account right now is already set, I have wide enough range of characters for abyss (yes, I like spiral abuse) and I plan on building my Noelle next with my first Geo team. That would take quite a time and by the time Lesser Lord Kusanali comes I'll have enough to guarantee her and attempt for her weapon. a c0 xingqiu and fisch are better than most 5-stars, you're off to a good start. If you want to, you can reroll. just keep in mind that the rng is the same so you could still have bad luck even on a new account. I personally wouldn't reroll unless its the first few 10pulls on a fresh account.

I broke my gacha addiction long ago in Arknights when I basically had every had every character on the regular banner and my team was all set so I didn't need the new characters on event banners. This has helped me immensely in Genshin. I've only pulled on Childe (lost to Jean), Zhongli and was building pity and aiming for Bennett on Raiden banner and got Qiqi. Waiting patiently for Kazuha with my guarantee, while farming for Elemental Mastery on Viridescent Venerer set.

I think another thing that people should consider is to not save for new characters. Sure you may think they will be super good but you don't know that because they aren't out yet. Also really think to yourself if you want this character just to have them-- i mean she touched on all the topics in the video. I'm just scarred from when I wished for Yae Miko. I use her a little now but shes still at lvl 60.

I tell this to new players. Because new characters, means to speed run so many starting quests so as to unlock them teleport points and missing out the fun in the journey, all for a boss fight in another region.

I get that some people would say "pull for whom you want, it's your account", but it's alot better to pull for Monsdhat characters for new players so they can get their mats easier than getting an Inazuma character, and to unlock Inazuma for boss mats will take a lot of time.

@@tranquillite1351 The Catch of pulling for 5stars like Ayaka/Eula is that even they are in lvl. 40 w/out talents upgrade their damage is overwhelming for lower AR Players. I remember I got Eula w/out me having unlock the cryo cube yet. She gave me an achievement "The Purveyor of Punishment" by inflicting 40k crit DMG at AR 30

My current method of saving primos is doing all the special events... And then not opening Genshin again until there's another event haha. It works very well, but I end up missing the daily primos, and they can make all the difference. Wonderful video!

That's a great vid, ngl! Also note from me: If you're exremely addicted just like I was before, first step - try to accumulate 10 pulls. That would be hard on itself and you would love to spend them at first. But as time comes - you will learn to acumulate 20, 50, 100, 300 and more. It just about patience and small steps. This video really helped me when I was planning on saving for Hu Tao. Now that I lost Lyney and didn´t have time to get him I decided to just jeep pulling, I regret it because I will most likely bench my wanderer. I remembered this video exists and I have now 9 wishes.
