Exactly my way of thinking, I too sometimes feel the urge of wishing for someone I consider lower priority than others, just because I think of how long I'll need to wait, but in the end I contain myself and in this way I'm now at 330 wishes saved just with welkin. I'm so happy to have learned how to manage primos without being taken by the hype and it's so satisfying to get the character you want, especially because you skip other for them. If you could just get any character they wouldn't even feel that special at some point

The part about building pity being a lie........ so true. I wished in eula's banner for bennett as I needed him for my childe international team. But eula came home in like 20 pulls when I had a guaranteed. But hey, eula is helping me a lot in abyss and other content and her ult is a nuke. And I also got C1 bennett so no regrets. But yeah I'm gonna refrain from building pity from now on.

@@Bunlier to be safe, I would sit tight and wait for his future rerun. You might get lucky and get him within 50 wishes, but what happens if you don't? He's such a useful and beloved character that I can totally see him coming back in the future. And with this new banner system they're using, he'll most likely be back sooner rather than later.

I’m sadly skipping Xiao and Ganyu if they’re next patch, because i want Heizou and / or Yae Miko (heizou has tidbits here and there and i hope he’s playable cause he seems cool) It’ll be a shame to miss out on them (but tbh I’m not a big fan of their play styles) so i hope they return soon! I also kinda wish trading was a thing, i have a c2 Zhongli because i wanted Yanfei cons (my pity was like 30 smth and i got two back to back 🥲) so i wanna trade them for one of the 8 characters I’m missing. When ever I get the urge to pull for a character I always watch this video. A few days ago I had the urge to pull for Ganyu or Zhongli and just now I thought I should pull for Raiden, but I watched this video and it calmed down my urge to pull. I'm going to pull for Kazuha, Yoimiya and Cyno from Sumeru (The one in the Tevyat storyline). I will definetly get them and this vid really helps.

I joined genshin on raiden shoguns banner, and at around 10 days before she was abt to leave a Hu Tao main had joined me. She said Hu Tao would have a rerun soon and she was worth it get. I’m telling you the second I saw her I knew I needed her- she was so cute and I loved the play style. So I started saving for Hu Tao, on Childers banner I had around 10k primogems with a few interwined and decided to try my luck getting the four stars, I got C3 Chongyun, Yanfei, Ningguag, and was able to build my pity a bit. I actually ended up maiming Yanfei so it worked out, then I saved back up to 10k primogems and wished on Hu Taos banner. I won 50/50 and got her along with Sayu and Thoma. Now I’m saving again and had 19k primos but spent some on Shenhe banner. I tried to get Yunjin or Ningguag but instead I lost 50/50 to a C1 Qiqi- wish I was rlly happy abt since I was only at 37 pity and now I’m guaranteed for Yae Miko. I currently have 19k primos for her and trying to get enough for Ayaka too.

Ufff that sounds like a LOT of time. 😱😱😱😱 I started saving primos midway at the Hu Tao Banner after I lost the 50/50, but when Itto arrived and he was like the geo version of my Diluc.... my will almost crumbled.... 😱😱😱😱 I have really fallen in love with Itto. His character, voice and play style. ❤️❤️❤️ But you can’t put him in any existing team they said. You have to build a team around him. Which would take at least 4 months to be successfully amplifying his damage potential. And he probably getting his first rerun sooner than Xiao his second. And at the time I started saving for Xiao I didn’t even heard rumors about a potential rerun, than I heard all the rumors of a potential rerun at the lantern rite festival and now it’s been confirmed. My hype for Itto ebbed down, but my nervousness about his upcoming banner increases. 😱😱😱😱😱 But I’m still torn between those too. I like Itto’s play style like any others and I hardly remember if I liked Xiaos as much as Itto’s. 🤔

I've got Albedo after him I went to 32 pity and stopped myself there Now I've got C1 Gorou I'm at 52 pity I'm at 12 wishes and getting close to 1.6k I will continue to rack up as much as I can (And buy crystals when the opportunity arises) I've also started farming materials/artifacts a couple weeks ago , I've got 4 crowns lying around, I'm making progress on talent books, I've got all the flowers, all the slime drops, working on mora & Childe weekly drops. I'll only need around 4 days for boss drops so I'll leave that for last ...This has reminded me that it's talent book day Anyway, I have hope that I will be getting my favorite character in at least a month & a half. 29k prismo at the time I comment this. Gonna skip Zhong Li, Gan Yu, Xiao, Shen He, and Yae (I had C0 Zhong Li and Gan Yu already). Gonna pull for Ayato only if he is hydro claymore without a clunky feeling when using him, else continue saving for future new character or maybe C4 Yoimiya, I think... Anyway, the feeling of stocking prismo, seeing how many pulls you can do on the 5 star character that attracted you, and actually all in everything is very very satisfying. Stay strong on saving to those who are saving for someone.

Exactly. And that feeling of awe when you reach that primogem count you only admired a few months ago! I've always looked up to people with 30k-40k primos thinking that I could NEVER achieve such an amount, and here I am hitting 56k primos for Scaramouche! It's really nice to witness your own journey to see how far you've come. Saving primogems is a practice that is very mentally benefitting, really worth it!! Anyone can be the person they looked up to as long as they don't give up :D

I’m saving up for Kazuha (whenever he comes) so far I have 20k primos saved up but I’m going until I have 29k to be safe. I only have like 10-14 pity. But yes, saving can be hard but it’s also satisfying to see how much you saved up. And it’s all worth for that one character. I just hope the Kazuha rerun doesn’t get put off forever.

I honestly wish I saw this sooner, I was planning on saving for Kazuha, I even had 29 wishes which isn’t a lot for others, but it was a milestone for me since I usually waste them the moment I get 10. Then Raiden and Kokomi’s rerun came out and wasted my pulls knowing damn well I wasn’t a fan of electro and I already had a healer. So yeah, I wasted wishes on them because of the stuff I’ve been seeing on tiktok. And now it’s trying to at least get 30 intertwined fates (I currently have 15) and I’m planning on skipping Venti’s rerun even though he’s also a high priority character.

another thing, if you're constantly checking your primos and checking how many wishes you can buy just makes it even more tempting. "oh i have __ wishes, one ten pull isn't that much" could easily turn into wasting all of your primogems

Needed this. I was saving for the Raiden Shogun rerun banner and then I accidentally missclicked a 10 pull on Yae Miko and Yae came home early (won a 50/50) and I still had alot of wishes left for raiden... And then right after Raiden rerun banner arrived I started pulling and used Yae as a summoning ritual and my Raiden came home (won another 50/50) 😭🙏 I was so happy I almost cried

Saving for kusunali lmao, jwk, im saving for ayaka, ayato and kazuha because im a new player so rerun is for me (join 2.2, childe banner, oct), but the two (kazuha and ayaka) captured me, the lore, the playstyle is everything. Note: I definetely agree on u. In my first month I save 6000 primos, while having some beginner character like barbara, kaeye, xiangling and amber. And then the end of nov came (which is 2 weeks ago, Idk ) I got many character on the standard banner, my friend got jealous on me winning the soft pity to diluc. Now I'm saving again. i’m AR 45 and i only have 9 or 10 characters. because of this, i have a terrible spending problem. i feel like i’m way behind so i just spend and spend my primos as soon as i’m able to. i’ve been trying to stop this problem by not even looking at how much primos i have, especially at the beginning of a new banner. i save and do events at the beginning of the banner so i have loads of primos towards the middle or end, and then that way i have a higher chance to get the character i want so i could pull more. also quick tip: if you get the character you want and you don’t really want anyone else from that banner, don’t pull continuously afterwards. there is no reason for it, and C6ing your characters isn’t that important. i survive with my C1 level 75 jean with terrible artifacts, so i’m sure you can to. please try your best to save i know it’s hard but you can do it!

I used the sticky note to just try it out and omg, I laughed so hard, the sticky note was completely see-through. xD If y'alls are see-through too, try making a box with a pen/marker/sharpie where the primos are. (tbh, I don't rlly need the sticky note, but I wanted to see what it'd be like if I played with a sticky note for a few days)

I like to have another gacha game to indulge in(preferably one that is pretty generous with its drops and gacha currency) so that i can enjoy the addicting gacha experience withot spending a single primogem. Burning myself out from pulling by c6ing every character in a wish simulator is also something i do sometimes hehe. Another important thing to keep your motivation up is to remember why you are saving in the first place. Watching videos of the character you are saving for, buzzing with friends about the character, producing media of that character, learning lore of that character- all of these things will not only increase your motivation to save, but also immerse yourself in that character more!!

We’re also most likely getting 10 wishes for Lantern Rite and a bunch of events (since it’s the biggest event of the year for Genshin), so you’ll get a bunch of wishes in 2.4. I think you’ll be safe!

I'm a dolphin spender, and I got to 61 pity trying to get Hu tao before her banner ended, I failed to get her, and decided more than anything, I wanted Yae Miko, So I'm sitting on 61 pity and 90 pulls in my inventory, It will break my heart if Yae is not playable o_o

I got Eula this patch and plan on going for Ganyu and Yae after this. I have over 23k primos and 9 Intertwined Fates and on guaranteed since i the last 5 star i got on the character banner was Keqing a few pulls after i got Eula. If i can get both of them, i plan on skipping everything until the Dendro Archon.

I love my Eula!!! She’s amazing!! I completely recommend her!! I hope you get her on her next rerun!! I couldn’t wait cause her trailer killed me and I wanted her so badly lol! She’s on my main team with Diluc, Zhongli and Shogun!

I will probably never going to hit again the 40+ k primos i saved up last year. It was such a great feeling to see it grow over the months when i 1st hit the 10k mark i was itching to reach the next k and i pressed f3 every day when i played just to see how much it grow. Currently im rocking a woopin 4 k primo after i literally zerod my account to get Eula and her signature weapon and after that i did put 20 pull into Shenha and 70 for Miko. I will probably wish for Ayato if he is realy that broken but not sure yet.

So my way to save is actually to forget abt it. yes, I regulary forget that I can pull and when I remember I own over 2.000 primos. Once I had like 2.400 or so. Most of my characters are from a random pull I did. I got Yanfei (i guess it was the banner befor itto) by randomly pulling. Currently I'm about to make quest I have open since 4 month or so xD and I look for new good team combos to try (so if you have ideas let me know xD) so yeah. Idk how.

I stopped playing for awhile and only came back when Nuevillete came. And I really want Nahida, Yelan, Lyney & Zhongli (he's skipped me twice or thrice). It's hard to save but I have 143 fates saved rn (welkin and exploration have been my best friends) and I feel kinda happy seeing the amount I saved. Though I still have Fontaine and some of sumeru to do.

I started out during Hu Tao banner, I pulled her twice after getting Jean from my very first 10 pull. Later on down the line I waited past Eula/Albedo to see Itto. I had saved up, but all I got was Diluc (and had his weapon waiting in Sayu's arms), so I ended up spending a little to get at least 1 Itto and his weapon. In my bf's home, I got another Itto for free in 1 pull as early pity, which saved me from a lot of headache in a long run. Now saving real hard for Yae Miko.

my internet went out for 4 months, so i wasn't able to play for a while. flash forward to a little while ago, i got wifi back and saved up like a mad man so i could pull for itto, then i got him. but, unfortunately since i'm not AR30 yet, i can't ascend him... so that's what i'm working on rn. while also saving up primos for whenever klee gets a rerun :,)
