My brother had open heart surgery in the 60’s . There was no RM house then. It really helps families especially when you’re from out of town.

Thank you so much for your contributions! When my twins were born prematurely I could only stay at the hospital for 2 days and they needed the bed for someone else, my twins were in NICU and the Ronald McDonald house in Saskatoon offered that I stay there immediately and I was so grateful that they suggested I stay there, luckily though I had family in Saskatoon so I stayed with them but Ronald McDonald house will always have a special place in my heart.

Thank you so much for sharing this!!! I didn't realize how much I needed to see this. My last baby was premature by 7 weeks and I stayed here for about a week. It seems like such a blur to be honest and I think I need to work on some healing. The room you toured I believe is the one I stayed in unless they all look the same. So much love to you and your family

I can't imagine how awful it must be for parents going through terrible illness with a child. Having a caring haven like this where they can stay must be a weight lifted. Very thoughtful of you guys to help sustain these places and help these families. Many blessings to you.

Rmh will always have a special place in my heart. My friend went through some tough times. It's always been just her and her mom. They let her mom stay when my friend was in Hamilton for brain and spinal surgery. They didn't even think, they just gave her a room. They know what family needs to make it through and they are so giving. I love this. Just brings tears to my eyes.

Our youngest was born with clubfoot in 2021. We had to travel out of state (from Michigan to Iowa) for proper treatment and stayed at Ronald McDonald house of Eastern Iowa. We are so unbelievably grateful to them for putting us up during our son’s treatment. The hospitality and generosity we were given was such a weight off of our shoulders during a time when we were unsure if our boy would need more surgeries or more extensive treatment. They truly are an amazing organization with incredible people!!

There is a Ronald McDonald house at the University of Michigan hospital. When my cousins baby was born premature, she had to stay with them for a very long time, they were aMAIZEing. I hope the U-M Ronald McDonald house can be part of your giving if you grow big in Michigan! Go Blue!

I LOVE the work you guys do and the generosity you have to donate to this lovely charity! But the children who come here are already soooo sick! It's super weird, given the high rates of Covid over the holidays (21.4 positivity rate according to wastewater levels) to not see people masking to protect the kids and the staff who work with them! You said you couldn't visit in person the last two years because of Covid but cases are SUPER HIGH right now and the risk to vulnerable people is significant. Long-covid ruins lives! Covid is airborne, like cigarette smoke, and asymptomatic spread is extremely common. Just because we aren't legally mandate to mask doesn't mean we shouldn't. As a disabled and immunocompromised person myself, I'll never understand how quickly things changed on this. :(
@shannonvilleneuve432910 ай бұрын
Yes, thank you for saying this. It was hard to watch. Wearing a mask is an easy way to protect these children.
