Thank you, Yogendra Yadhav for sharing the contributions, and positive things about Manipur, which otherwise, many would not have known. Comparisons are odious, I understand. Even then I am making a comparison. Prime Minister Modi is not perhaps made of the moral stuff of Late Lal Bahadur Shastri, for us to expect him to assume moral responsibility for Manipur. Lal Bahadur Shastri was a Minister of Cabinet rank in the Congress government in the Ministry for the Railways, when he tendered his resignation for the railway accident as all of us know. If anything like what has been happening in Manipur, happened during Lal Bahdur Shastri's tenure as PM of the country, he would have been the first person to visit Manipur. In case, the situation continued, as it is, there is no doubt, he would not have hesitated to tender his resignation as PM of the country owning moral responsibility. That is why, Lal Bahdur Shastri has gained a unique place in the political history of the country. How only a political pygmy behaves in comparison with a moral giant is becoming clear by day.
