Great video - but it must be old. App does not show in android auto. Its broken. Installed latest version on galaxy s21. The Carstream app does also not show up in android auto setting. Tried to clean cache and do a restart of the phone which did not help.

Thank you, this was really helpful. I have a EV car and it can play youtube but only when I am not driving. It is really really irritating that the car manufacturer is deciding for me what I, and my copassangers can watch on the screen or not. I dont like the control they want over me. Hi. In Android Auto settings go down to version and tap it 10 times to get developer mode. Go to 3 dots top right and select developer mode. Enable unknown sources.

Someone needs to figure out how to MOD the Google Android Auto apk, so it can bypass all the bulls... in the meantime, the reliable solution is buying an Android Carplay AI box for $50 or so, which you plug in the USB port and then it gives you full Android functionality.

So finally got the app to be recognized in the screen but when opening the app on the sync 4 it only says no new messages during this drive. It's teasing this as a notification reader and not showing the browser etc
