I love these horror movies that are not the scary type, but the "makes you get the chills" type. There's a tiny but important difference between: one is only made of jumpscares, futiles stuff to make you scream; the other one makes you FEEL. Feeling is an important point horror movies' been missing these days. Nice work! I always look forward to this channel and I'm cheering on Rob from now on!

Someone said this already, but you look at 2:17 and 3:01, you can see the same guy conveniently sidestepping onto the train after she boards and walking behind her as soon as she crosses the street. That body language screams ‘stalker’ because he’s looking all the time in her direction. Psychological horror is right, as in you need to watch this again to notice those details. I would’ve been scared if I found out someone had taken a picture of my sleeping like that.
@Xylarxcode5 жыл бұрын
Or... you know, just pay attention the first time. It's not that subtle. The thing about almost all short movies is that all the details matter. They don't have as much time as actual movies to tell the story, so they have to cram all details that connect all the dots of the story into a shorter timespan, making them much more obvious for the audience to see. Especially in a horror movie, when you're actively looking for anything out of the ordinary or creepy. With a horror movie, the trick is not to look at the main character, but what goes on around the main character. Horror movies love to slip details into the background and people often miss them the first time around, because they have a habit of looking at the main character or whatever the main focus of the camera is, rather then what is going on in the background. In this particular movie, it was actually pretty obvious. To me, at least but to be fair, I watch and study a lot of movies (as a hobby, not professionally), so I tend to notice those things.
@justin23085 жыл бұрын

There can be numerous reasons someone may adopt this lifestyle. "Hobo A hobo is a migrant worker in the United States. I am always situationally aware of my surroundings in either urban or wilderness environments. AND I WOULD NEVER CAMP ALONE unless I had to!!! OK, maybe in my back yard with my 10 year old daughter. a few times I have even set up low trip fishing line a few feet in front of my tent entrance with a bell or can attached discretely and camoflauged at the ends. I don't like surprises and I don't want to kill an innocent person either. You are not chicken, its just common sense. For me, this was more psychological horror than anything else, mainly because throughout the film I was waiting for the terror to become apparent. Each time the scene changed, I was like, "Ah, here it is. She's going to be attacked by wolves or bears or something in the night." I mean, such a flimsy looking tent, haha. It wasn't until she came out of the chemist with the photographs in hand that I suspected the real horror. I did see the creepy stalker guys in the city, at the station and especially the one that seemed to suddenly and quickly duck out of the shot at the crossing. But that was, as others have said, perhaps a little too subtle. I would never go into the wild on my own like that, so for her to do that was super brave (or idiotic!) and I kept thinking how well she knew to take care of herself. But, what if...?

I wholeheartedly agree on this. The movie was beautifully and professionally shot, but the shocking element was presented too late and to inefficiently. Of course we were expecting someone or something stalking her simply because this was labeled as horror, but the signs that there actually could be someone were too subtle. If the intended genre of the movie wasn't stated, the first ten minutes could easily be mistaken for a really longwinded camping holiday advertisement. Her discovering those special pictures on her camera could have been MUCH more effective if it happened while she was still out there camping alone, not during the comparatively safe train ride back.

I was so happy nothing happened to her on her get away even though I put the video on because I love horror but it conveyed such a feeling of that need for "Alone Time" in such a almost personal way that I didnt want the terror anymore. Lol and wanted her to be ok. So when she made it home I was so happy even though my heart was beating the whole time expecting the worst then the picture ooooo got my horror fix and my happy fix all in one 11min. Video!!! Great great job!!! Loved it ! One of my top ten favorites . And I been binge watching for like a month now!😍

@WatchALTER mate I zoomed in on the last picture and I'm sure that's blood coming from her mouth and around the back of her head. People are saying the picture was taken while she was sleeping. Even though we see her get the pictures developed and looks at them afterwards, yet the last picture shows she is deceased. I'm I looking at this wrong? , please clarify.

Very well done! *insert applause I love good character development. I also really appreciate the way u let the scenery almost narrate the film. No diss to anyone, but some of us aren't children w the attention span of a squirrel & don't require heaps of blood & gore layered w jump scares to evoke fear. Thanks for that. The lack of "horror" until the end is what made it so scary. Not to mention the "based on true events" factor- that works everytime! What a few comments call "boring" I saw as necessary build-up. They're the types to fast-forward through all the talking scenes in a Hitchcock film. Lol. I liked the story's layout. There's the initial wondering, waiting, "Is THIS the moment?" "No THIS is it." ...more wondering. Finding yourself observing every minute detail & seemingly insignificant character. Then, nothing but peacful imagery lulling you into a sense of false security until... SOK! POW! KABLAM! THE END! Instant sub! I'll be back for sure!

A guy was stalking her on the train station, and also on the street, in the beginning of the film. I always keep an eye on the people around me. If he was able to take photos of her in the tent, I am thinking he knows her sleeping habits (deep sleeper etc), this means he could be breaking into her house and watching her sleep. The real horror is that no one will believe her story, she would be completely at the mercy of her stalker.

I agree with some comments saying that it might have taken too long to the "scary" part to appear, but I think it was perfectly done if you consider the foreshadowing with the stalkers and how mentally affected this woman is going to be during all her life. She had no idea she was being followed and what the true purpose of them following her was - I mean, why didn't they hurt her? What they wanted? Are they still following? She is going to be scared forever, and that's the true horror, you thinking you are safe (the 10 previous minutes) to then having your life messed up like that.
