daudnaa = to run bhaagnaa = to run away But depending on the context sometimes they are interchangeable, sometimes not. Example: He ran = vah daudaa OR vah bhaagaa Both are fine. He ran away = vah bhaag gayaa sonaa = to sleep neend = sleep Hope this helps.

Guest is atithi in Sanskrit isnt it? I always thought Guest in Hindi is Mehmaan..May be Mehmaan is Urdu?

Mehman is not Hindi word although it is used frequently in everyday spoken Hindi.
