You are great. Small mistakes mean little. Corrected errors mean nothing. Keep going. We love you.

Thanks for your honesty, Bill, a rare thing in the social media world and unfortunately in the real world also. Love your videos!

Thanks, Gilles! After all, it's just a hobby...we need not be too proud to fix an error! Take care, Bill

Hi Bill. To be honest I view your videos almost as a discussion, not one way. Your videos are great. If this was in the pub we we chat, discuss, correct and enjoy. Everyone should do their own research anyway so I would never expect anyone to pull you up with any malice and I hope those that did mention the errors did so under the above terms 😊
@watchartsciКүн бұрын
Yes, Mark, you are exactly right! It is meant to be a discussion. However, I've been told that a lot of watches I mention are snatched up, and I'd hate to have someone buy a watch I mentioned but I have the wrong information on the movement. Take care, Bill

Great update Bill. I love the dial on the Faberge. While you needed to make a few updates I really enjoy your videos on great buys in the watch world. I don’t think I will ever buy a new watch when I can get great value for a more reasonable price.

Been saving up for that Faberge “roadkill chicken” watch! Love the rotor… not sure I love the ETA 🧐 Thank you, doc!
@watchartsci3 күн бұрын
Tony, the Fabergé Agathon with the date at 6 o'clock may be the model with the FP like mine ... but need to check first. As for the ETA ... it's a very good ETA model, but not at that price. Take care, Bill

The Monegasque chrono is a thing of beauty. I saw it for about $12.000 on Ch24. I think I prefer the simpler and rugged Easy Diver because I noticed the Poinçon de Geneve was on the case as well on that watch. Strange.

Truman, yes it seems that Roger Dubuis has the bulk of Geneva Seal along with Vacheron Constantin, but the RD movements may haven an edge on those by VC overall. Take care, Bill

I am an old, can’t hold a 3rd Class Medical anymore pilot. I heard you mention you did a little dabbling in aviation world. PIC is solely responsible for the safety of his passengers, people on the ground, and his AC. No exceptions. Especially now in the world of LLC’s how refreshing to hear a guy own up to an error without equivocation. You’re the GOAT Bill. Thanks
@Not-a-bot2223 күн бұрын
I am a young(ish) pilot and PIC. There’s old pilots and there’s bold pilots but very few old and bold pilots, we are always learning. Each and everyday. And we make mistakes, but always better to learn from the mistakes of others!

I used to fly with a group called Flying Doctors of Mercy (Liga) in a Cessna 177B, and we'd fly down to Sinaloa, Mexico. We flew in to our clinics there, and it some of the most interesting flying I did-Loran was our best navigation tool back then (late 80s/early 90s); but like every group, there were some boneheads. One guy decided to show off by flying under a bridge but changed his mind at the last minute and flew into one of the bridges guide-wires and crashed. No one was killed by sheer luck. We had a hearing, and the pilot got into my face daring me to suggest he was a bad pilot. Any pilot who makes poor decisions is a bad one. Driving an airplane is one thing; making informed decisions is another. Please don't get me started with airplane stories .... our subscribers suffer enough! Take care, Bill

@ it sounds like dumb luck they all survived that mishap. The 177 Cardinal is a great airplane, my buddy’s father has one and flies dogs to shelters in it. Thanks for great story!

If you want a F. Piguet movement, perhaps just buy a Blancpain. They are typically well discounted on the secondhand market.

That explains why the resale value on the Faberg’e Agathon is so low. Nothing wrong with the 2892-A2 mind you, but I’m not willing to pay that much for it.
@watchartsci3 күн бұрын
It's a pretty amazing watch, Q-Eye. The 2892A2 isn't a bad movement, but it's also not as special as what you'd expect from a brand like Fabergé! Take care, Bill
