I'm watching this while knitting your mosaic market bag! I would ADORE a pattern for produce bags. Just small ones, ir a range of sizes!! I've been searching and there aren't many knit patterns. I'm not a fan of the look of the crocheted ones.

The Ilene Bag (free pattern) on Ravelry starts with a rectangular base knit in stockinette, and then you pick up & knit stitches around the base in order to begin the mesh pattern. It is a good basic market bag pattern with a sturdy ribbed strap.

Market bags are actually fairly straight forward, fast projects. They typically use simple lace and are knit in the round so I would say go for it!

I think there is a requirement for market bags given the Zero Waste/Minimalist/Vegan trend which seems to be huge on YT at present , and the plastic bag free mode of shopping, but, I guess to get Vegans making them they will need to be in say a hemp or cotton yarn (anything animal free). Anyway, this may give you something to explore. I love these bags, Thanks from Australia 🐨👍🏼
